Hey guys! There’s a new app for artists called Curate where you can share your work and discover and connect with other artists. Best part is there’s no AI allowed.
Right now, they’re hosting an art contest for Halloween with the theme Haunted Houses, and they’ve asked me to be a featured critic. Which is awesome because it combines my love of horror and judging things.
Head on over and join in on the fun!

GUYS, I WANT TO SHARE SOMETHING REALLY COOL WITH YOU!!

It’s called Curate!, an app created to bring artists from all over the world together🫂
For me, it’s already more than just an app. It’s such a warm little community where we can support each other, create our portfolios, and simply share our work:)

Without feeling like you have to be a content creator just to get seen. Because sometimes we just want to create and share our art 🎨

I also like that Curate! supports real human creativity. AI is becoming such a huge part of this world, and I think it’s important to keep our own artistic voice and style😌

I’m on there too under the name toffi.ki 🫶🏻

You can find me there, and I’ll be happy to follow you back!

🌊🦈 GARY GOT AN HONORABLE MENTION! 🥳🎬

I’m so excited to share that my "Vegan Jaws" movie poster received an Honorable Mention in Curate!’s Blockbuster Movie Poster Challenge!

There were 61 entries, with three winners and four honorable mentions, and I’m incredibly happy that my ridiculous, salad-loving megalodon made the list.

This piece was so much fun to create. Gary is a vegan megalodon making his movie debut by pretending to be a great white shark. Unfortunately, he got a little too enthusiastic about the catering.

“We’re going to need a bigger salad bowl.”

I created the entire poster traditionally using watercolor, acrylic markers, Polychromos colored pencils, and Micron pens.

Congratulations to the winners and my fellow honorable mentions! There were so many creative posters in this challenge, and I’m genuinely happy just to have been part of it. 💙

My art journey started this year as a way to heal, learn, and find some joy again. Moments like this may seem small, but they mean a lot to me. Every drawing, painting, challenge, and ridiculous character is another little step forward. 💜

And apparently one of those steps involved creating a vegan megalodon with a crouton problem. 😂

Thank you, Curate!, and thank you to everyone who showed Gary some love!
🌊🦈💙

No fish were harmed in the making of this movie. The salad bowl cannot say the same. 🤣
