When interactive objects makes an exhibition too educational, and when the feeling “oh, this is for kids” makes you feel less curious — it is horrendous.

But when you are a student or a parent, usually your visit’s goal is to learn. And these types of exhibitions activate “the other”.
The other person, the other approach, the other weight of information and the other playful mood.

Educational part of contemporary artistic approaches could bring the joy, but only if you (by yourself) stay in the state of play. It also brings new knowledge and take unexpected turns of the mind due to the context of newly submerged objects.

Fortuny museum @palazzofortuny_venezia got me in the state of play. I did not expect being it after the hardcore-ness of the beautiful early 19th works collection theta is presented on the first floor there.
But it did caused the outburst of joy — like visiting the library and being able to take the favourite book home.

A rewind of the visit to Abbazia di San Gregorio for the exhibition “A Necessary Fiction: Maps, Art, and Models of Out World” with @curatorial.school

The tour by @dr.aurora.fonda and @zaira.carrer was depicting approaches to maps, globes, travels and navigation.

The globe from 1551, reproduced and existing maps, works by contemporary artists (about 70 pieces in total) show not only development of the navigation documentation but also change in the perception of world’s reality throughout time.

Talking about maps making is always a vector towards the horizon — we aim into the expansion of knowlwdge, winning over, piece by piece, the space from The Unknown.

Rage Bait by @evaandfrancomattes makes you feel like: “more you see something — more real it becomes”. Even if it was never attempted to exist. At a certain point, the endgame of data collection for any AI is the amount of information, not it’s quality.

With more distortion and intentional disguise, the weirder it becomes.
Is the weird more? Or less is more?

"Macrocosmi"
esposti alla mostra "one touch of nature makes the whole world kin"

Pronto detalles.
