And just like that we wrapped six farmers market seasons bringing healthy fresh affordable food options to residents in the Capitol Heights, Seat Pleasant, District Heights communities along the blue and green line corridors in Prince George’s County, MD! Our team works so hard to show up for the place that raised and constantly gives us love. Make sure you like and follow @thecapitalmarket20743 to keep up with what we’re doing!

Wondered why we call ourselves The Capital Market?! Well it’s because Community IS Capital! At The Capital Market we used food and farming as a lens to understand and advocate for community development in ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽Neighborhoods, Black 🧑🏿‍🌾👩🏾‍🌾👨🏾‍🌾, and Black People. We leverage what Tara Yosso calls — Community Cultural Capital to do this! Check out more of our work and why we do, what we do, visit us on Sundays @creativesuitland from 12pm -4pm.
