Marina, you are SUCH a ray of sunshine ☀️

Not too long ago, we visited Marina, Tweega and the FAB team to find out more about all that Marina has built with Procast AND her business centres.

Which, of course, meant Marina was invited to step up to the mark and take part in the notorious SSC suitcase challenge.

Now, most people would say this is somewhat challenging.

Not Marina! She absolutely smashed this in record timing and all whilst beaming with that smile.

This really was such a pleasure to film. Your energy is absolutely contagious @themarinavibe 💫

If you enjoyed this, you can catch the FULL episode of Short Stay Stories over on our SSC YouTube channel.

A massive thank you to Marina, Tweega and the team at Procast for inviting us along for a couple of hours and for sharing your incredible entrepreneurial journey so far with us.

Granny/Expert teething tips

YOU ✅Type below your tips, help a Mum! Hit SAVE

✅ EXPERT: One thing I think causes a lot of confusion in babyhood is that not everything going into the mouth is “teething”.

Babies explore the world through their mouths long before teeth fully arrive. Around 3–4 months, many babies begin grabbing, mouthing, chewing, sucking, and experimenting with cause and effect.

“I touch this… this happens.”
“I shake this… it makes a sound.”
“I bite this… it feels interesting.”

➡️ REAL: Of course, genuine teething can also bring sore gums, dribbling, flushed cheeks, irritability, disturbed sleep, and the need to chew more intensely. So often, it’s a mixture of development AND teething happening together.

➡️ REAL: Some of the things we found genuinely helpful with Ocean Rose and Elowyn Jacqueline were:

SHOPPING 🛒
🤍 Hand mitt teething gloves from Amazon @amazonae ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🤍 Sophie la Girafe with those wonderful knobbly ears @sophielagirafe.arabia
🤍 Soft comfort toys with textured chewing elements @curiousplaythings
🤍 Frozen flannels or cloths
🤍 Breastmilk or fruit freezer pops in a feeder @haakaa.me
🤍 @ezpzfunme oral development tools
🤍 Teething gel when prescribed.

REAL ➡️ And yes… back in the UK I absolutely used @ashtonandparsons teething granules and Nelsons @teethauk , which have been used by families for over 35 years and contain chamomilla, traditionally used since the 1800s to soothe teething discomfort. (Nelsons)

➡️ Other little Granny tips:
• silicone spoons straight from the fridge
• chilled cucumber for older babies already established on solids
• lots of bib changes because dribble can irritate the skin @mustela_middleeast @windmillbaby_uae to soothe
@bepanthenarabia for sore teething bottoms
@lancotoysbaby for safe sealed teethers

➡️ NURSERY PRINCIPAL: One myth I heard constantly in nursery was, “It’s only teething.”

Teething can make babies unsettled, dribbly, chewy, and slightly warm, but a true fever is usually linked to illness or a virus, not simply a tooth arriving.

A little April recap…

It was a jam packed month last month and let’s be honest, here in Dubai we’ve kind of kick-started May with a bit of a blip.

And here’s hoping it’s just that. A blip.

So whilst this selection of photos and videos shows you lots of love, happiness & smiles, I also want to be real.

Building a business is not always smiles, sunshine and rainbows.

Most of the time it’s really not.

I’m just simply someone who doesn’t capture those down moments as much as I do with the moments I find joy in.

So sorry, you probably won’t ever see me sharing a video of me crying… which is probably just as well because that’s not a great sight for anyone to see 😂

Instead you’ve got this little collection to enjoy instead!

Here’s to getting over this teeny tiny Dubai blip, living our best delulu lives & normalising meltdowns that we haven’t documented for socials because we’re just too busy being in full on mid-meltdown mode✌🏼💃🏻
