This last weekend I went to @hmuastudyhall hosted by @makeupbyshannonmarie. We had some wonderful guest speakers who spoke about finances and the business side of being a professional makeup artist. This is such an unspoken topic in our industry so thank you so much to @terria_beauty @curlyourlashes @makeuptogoblog @biancaappicemakeup & Prell Charusanti for all your wisdom.

If you're a Los Angeles makeup artist and haven't been to Study Hall, I would highly recommend! Keep an eye out for future events!

Ooh I like me a good @hmuastudyhall ! I Love supporting my friends and colleagues. You will never know it all and you can never learn too much! And we always learn from each other.

Thank you to our fabulous host @makeupbyshannonmarie for curating events that make sense and are valuable for our community, and for truly creating a stress free all inclusive environment.

Thank you to all the panelists for sharing your knowledge and expertise and for being honest with your information. You are so appreciated!

Special shout out to the Guest Speaker
@prellyprell who really broke it down. It’s about time makeup starts normalizing money talk. It’s not scary! Let’s stop that stigma. Let’s demystify numbers together everyone. You can do it!!!

Extra love to all the volunteers who make these events possible. It’s takes a village, always. @autumnsanders_hmu @helenafox333 @cristallewellynmua @roxanne_mcdanel @hairbyviolet

This space is also everything! @egolabstudio

Can’t wait for the next one. Will I see you there???
