The gift of reading 📚✨

Last month I had the chance to travel to Colombia to visit my family, and of course spend time with my nephews. I love spoiling them, as any aunt should! 💙

One of the stops was this wonderful bookstore dedicated entirely to children’s books. I loved the incredible variety of topics we found, truly something for every interest and curiosity. I couldn’t resist leaving with a book full of amazing facts about the human body and another about soccer players from around the world who have made their mark.

Sharing my love of reading with the next generation was such a special part of this trip. There’s nothing better than passing along stories, curiosity, and the joy of books. 📖💫

Happy Monday! What a better way to fight the Monday blues than starting the week with a fun challenge?

I got inspired by @authorsarafurlongburr and @dogearedstyle to participate in the #verticalspinestack and #verticaltitlesstack challenges! I couldn’t believe how difficult it was to find books that fit this challenge, I don;t think it ever registered in my mind that the vast majority of books have the title written horizontally. I think I’ll be paying more attention going forward

🇮🇳 Stack For A Cause 🇮🇳

Hi friends! I was inspired by @teachertrishareads to help support, raise awareness, and funds for COVID relief in India by participating in the #bookstackforindia created by @taleswithtrix . As you may have seen in the news, a second wave of COVID has severely impacted the country. While vaccines in the U.S. have allowed us to return to "normal", India is nowhere near it. The people of India are hurting and need our love, support, and prayers.

For every #bookstackforindia where you tag @taleswithtrix, Kristi will donate $1 (up to $100) to @sewainternationalusa now through May 13th. As always, this bookish community has come together for a #StackForACause! And several stacks have been posted! In addition, #bookstagrammers @booksandabeagle @teas.tales.toebeans @cookie.the.bookee @littlefoot_books @prismaticpages @thewatsonreview @novelswithnesa will be matching the donations!
