Art met fashion, and the runway became the canvas. 🎨🔥

Walking for designer Italia Flores during Una Notte d’Arte: A Night of Art at Carolina Fashion Week was an unforgettable expression of color, movement, texture, and creativity. Every detail of this design carried its own energy, and I was honored to bring that vision to life on the runway.

Two lenses. One runway moment. A story of strength, movement and undeniable presence.

Carolina Fashion Week gave me the opportunity to step out and embrace the artistry of fashion and command the runway in a look that made every movement feel intentional.
Thank you to the Designer that allowed me to display their fashion via runway.
Grateful to the photographers who captured these moments from their own unique perspectives. 🧑🏿‍🎨Designer @avenuex21

The crown may sit on my head, but the purpose is carried in how I serve. 👑
I’m stepping into this season with gratitude, intention, and a commitment to represent North Carolina with grace. Every opportunity to be seen is also an opportunity to make someone else feel seen.
This journey is bigger than a title. It’s about using every room, every runway, and every platform to leave something meaningful behind.
Grace. Purpose. Service. Impact.
And we’re only getting started. 💚👑

The crown may sit on my head, but its purpose lives in my hands. 👑

As Ms. Black International Ambassador North Carolina, I’m stepping into this season with intention, not simply to wear a title, but to use it.

To serve.
To advocate.
To show up.
To create spaces where people feel seen, valued, and reminded that their stories matter.

This crown represents responsibility to me. It represents the opportunity to take everything life has taught me, every storm, every lesson, every moment that required me to keep going, and turn it into something that can help someone else.

North Carolina, I am honored to represent you. 💚

And this chapter?

We’re only getting started.

A little pageant break… Belize style. 🇧🇿🌴👑**

Somewhere between the rehearsals, interviews, preparation, and competition, we had the opportunity to step outside, explore, breathe in the beauty around us, and simply experience Belize.

And what an experience. 💚

The sunshine. The water. The culture. The colors. The laughter. The sisterhood. These are the moments that remind me that this journey is about so much more than what happens on a stage.

I came to Belize representing North Carolina, carrying my platform, my purpose, and my story, but I’m leaving with memories and experiences that will forever be a part of my story too.

And yes… when I saw those big colorful BELIZE letters, Ms. Black North Carolina HAD to have her moment! 😂👑📸

From North Carolina to Belize… purpose looks good with a little adventure.🇺🇸➡️🇧🇿💚 Garment design by: @natalielillian_atl

INTERVIEW DAY 💜👑

Walking into my MBIA interview, I wanted to feel like myself, confident, poised, comfortable, and ready to speak from the heart.

This beautiful purple look was custom made for me by Natalie Lillian of Dazies Treasures, and I am so grateful for the time, talent, and care she poured into creating something especially for this moment. 💜

Today, I carried more than a title and a sash into that interview room.

I carried my story.
I carried my purpose.
I carried my WHY.

No need for perfection, just preparation, authenticity, and the confidence to remind myself:

I am here. I am ready. And I belong in this room👑

Thank you, Natalie and Dazies Treasures, for being a beautiful part of my journey from North Carolina to Belize. 🇺🇸🇧🇿💜

Passport to Belize | Day 25 ✈️👑

Letter to My Younger Self

Little Waltisa,

I know there were days you wondered if anyone truly saw you.

I know there were moments when life felt unfair, confusing, and lonely.

If I could sit beside you today, I wouldn’t tell you that life will be easy.

I’d tell you that every storm will teach you something.

I’d tell you that one day you’ll become a mother whose love can move mountains.

You’ll discover strength you never knew you possessed.

One day you’ll realize your story wasn’t written to break you. I built your resilience and love for others. It was written to prepare you to build Grace Through the Storm.

And one day...

You’ll wear a crown.

Not because it makes you worthy...
but because it reminds others that resilience, compassion, and purpose are beautiful.

Keep dreaming.
Keep believing.
Keep becoming.

“I Love You, you will be okay and I will never leave you”.

❤️
