💜🌃 @trialsofmilesracing CHICAGO🌃💜 — Last night was one of those Chicago summer evenings that reminds us why we love what we do. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃🏻🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏾🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿 The Trials of Miles Chicago brought together an incredible community on the track — new athletes we had the chance to meet, so many of our current athletes and friends, and even family members getting out there and racing. Perfect weather. Fast races. Great energy. And a whole lot of community. A huge thank you to DW Running for having our team out and giving us the opportunity to support athletes with treatments throughout the evening. And a big shoutout to On Running for bringing the energy with their new running shoe launch and mobile running truck — helping athletes get dialed in as Chicago Marathon training ramps up. We loved seeing so many familiar faces and meeting so many new ones. Nights like this are what make the Chicago running community so special. Until the next one… and hopefully we’ll see you in the office soon

What an honor to be a part of the 50th running of @grandmasmarathon! Grandma’s is a racer’s race, a race with uniquely deep history, a race Duluth takes total pride in, a race that is very fast but still doesn’t give you anything. Yesterday the HMers got perfect conditions and the marathoners had to battle some warmth. Sounds like Grandmas to me! Proud of how this group played the hand they were dealt with strength + joy! Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training allows athletes to build strength and muscle using lighter loads — reducing joint stress while accelerating recovery and performance gains. By safely restricting blood flow to the working muscle, BFR triggers the same growth and hormonal responses you’d get from heavy lifting, making it an effective tool during rehab or when returning from injury. 👟 Whether you’re rebuilding after an injury or looking to take your training to the next level, BFR can help you get stronger, faster — safely.

I just spent my afternoon crying - a lot! This movie perfectly depicts the horribly sad reality of dementia for the patient, caregivers and family. But at the same time the movie is poetic, beautiful and captures the heart and soul of all those affected by this disease. It was incredibly acted-so much so-that is brought me back to our experience with my mom. My mom’s time in memory care was simply heartbreaking. And the actress reminded me so much of my mom - her style, poise, demeanor and love for others (every nurse in memory care was her friend). It also reminded me of her fear, confusion, and loneliness. I am writing this with tears as I remember her fear. Dementia is 𝗮𝘄𝗳𝘂𝗹! It simply sucks. ‌ This beautiful movie reinforces my personal drive to fight off this disease for myself, and continue to educate others. I recommend this incredible film to educate yourself, to empower yourself, to 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 deeply, to feel deeply and to take care of your health. I recommend a box of Kleenex, especially if you have a connection to dementia. ‌ I loved my mom. I miss my mom. God, this actress was my mom in so many ways brought back to life. Thank you Curt Hansman for telling me to watch this to remember her and remember my why! ❤️ I miss her. #familiartouchfilm #amazonprimevídeo

Another hot + humid Alpine 10 Miler - just the way we like it! We love @grandmasmarathon! The race delivers, every year. Besides an awesome race experience, this year it also delivered heat + humidity. So, we focused on controlling what we could - our effort, our attitude, our fueling and our gratitude. As I cheered the team on all over the course, I saw all of that in full force. So many smiles, so much composure and so much sweat. I am so inspired by this team’s resolve and camaraderie! Congrats to Rich Calvario on clinching the 2025 Melting Clown Face Championship!!! 🤡🔥🤡🔥🤡🔥🤡🔥🤡🔥🤡🔥🤡🔥🤡🔥 Rich’s winning submittal comes from his 2:50 clocking at CIM a few years back (Rich’s fastest on the team and #9 in Masters team history). When asked to describe his pristine melting clown face performance…. “The race was CIM 2022, a few days after my 40th birthday so my first race as a master. I didn’t prepare enough for the net downhill course so the eccentric contractions said RIP to my old man quads. Was going for sub-2:50 and missed by 14 seconds. Face planting at 5K did not help.  I’d say I typically race with a balanced look of focus and relaxation on my face, but that would be a bold face lie.” Congrats you clown!

We took care of our marathon business all over yesterday! 🌎 🌴 🔥 We sent eight out to @runcim + they freaking FLEW!! Even though this course is ripping fast and the weather was great, you must still race every marathon with intentionality. This crew did that. Patience early, AGGRESSION late, they nailed our team philosophy. Team data + results are below. Dave & Britt flew out to Hawaii to honeymoon….oh and to run the Honolulu Marathon! They crushed of course. Britt ripped a 2:52 - 6th place + 1st AG + 1st American 🇺🇸!! Dave cruised a 3:22, catching a perfectly big wave to end a great season. ———— Team CIM Data: - 8 racers - 6 BQs - 4 PRs - 4 negative splits (50%) - 3 Team Top 10 Additions - 2 x 2nd place AG finishes ———— Women: Kristin Dailey* - 2:36 (PR, 2nd AG, 6th All-Time 40-44 @ CIM) Julia Ordzowialy - 2:53 Brianna Wynne - 3:01 (PR) Jessica Sokolowski - 3:13 (neg split) Curt Hansman - 6:16 *DWR Open + Masters Team Records Men: Trent Fifield* - 2:37 (PR, neg split, 2nd AG) Nilay Gandhi - 3:07 (neg split) Brian Murphy - 3:11 (PR, neg split) *DWR Masters Top 10 Time
