Can I get a January Go-Back? We got our country back 🇺🇸. I went on the first road trip with Emily Ann.

Under the experiences above, all of these little thoughts I’ve had came together for me.

It’s no secret that I’ve started limiting my time and actions on this app to be more reduced and focused.

The root of the reason: “what’s trending.”

When I look at what our country has just gone through- with what the last administration pulled to appear “trendy” and “hip” to certain races or genders in a cheesy appeal to attract voters; the cheap and trendy in western fashion or home decor that is only linkable to get a “spike” in followers or consumers; it becomes obvious to me why I’ve grown to respect a healthy distance from what’s “trending” in the palm of my hand versus the world around me.

“American” doesn’t trend. It’s rooted in going against the grain. Of standing against the odds. Of bucking tyranny, for the sake of common sense and trajectory of the future. For standing up for something even when we know we could die for it. Because we’d rather die than conform.

“Cowboy” doesn’t trend. It’s rooted in tradition. Of naturally occurring, proud, handmade materials that weather the test of time. It is an art. A way of life, and while it’s painted to be flashy, the reality is, “cowboy” is a quiet, organic lifestyle that revolves around the sounds of animals chewing or bawling. The sweet smell of hay enriched with morning dew. The majority of flashing neon lights are shooting stars across the midnight sky. Cowboys hang tight to few simple words that are meaningful and deemed the way to “live by.”

“Old friends” aren’t trending. Old friends aren’t current social climates or “likes” and “follows” beneficiaries. As we grow and acquaintances or fads come and go, our old friends are what anchors us. They know our hearts amidst drama. They know our intentions amidst how things come out. They are confidants that keep a secret and offer stiff advice.

🚨 TRENDING ALERT: 🚨

Wine Feeders moved over 12,000 head of cattle between order buying and cattle on feed in 2024.

We fed 9,146,992lbs of feed.

We shipped out 125 18-wheeler loads of cattle in 12 months.

We bought cattle at sale barns across South Texas simultaneously. We made a positive impact on the market at sale barns. And competitors started asking around who and what “Wine Feeders” is. (hi guys! 🙋🏼‍♀️)

Our death loss percentages got smaller.

Our feed cost got lower.

And best of all, other feedlots are making money off of cattle from us.

This year has been a year of recognizing the impact that one person and one person’s idea to start something can make to hundreds of others.

… how that idea can change people’s lives in a positive way.

And at the same time, there are so many people who have helped, and supported, and remained honest and loyal to us and what we are doing here in South Texas.

There are no words that can express the gratitude and thanks to those people or to their businesses. We are SO thankful. We are hungry and thirsty for more, and are looking forward to 2025.

Curtis and Wade- thank you both for making this place better- for taking this company and making it bigger OUTSIDE of what we ever imagined. We deeply appreciate and love you guys!!!

2025- let’s do it.
