Well, this is a bit exciting. Not quite published by Penguin yet (as the bag suggests) but I will be!

My first novel (title TBC) is coming in 2028🥹📚

So much gratitude to my brilliant agent, @caitlancoopertrent at @curtisbrownaus and my super-star publisher, @_bev_cousins at @penguinbooksaus

I feel completely out of my depth but very much buoyed by their brilliance and belief in me ❤️

‘Reading as a Contact Sport’: the theme of my upcoming Maurice Saxby lecture at @cbcansw Sydney on 14 November. My dynamic and dedicated friend and colleague @deborah_abela_ will be presented with the Lady Cutler award on the same evening. If you’re in town, we would love you to join us for a discussion on the state of literacy and ways to incorporate social, interactive and adventurous elements into our reading culture.

Thank you to Curtis Brown for your generous sponsorship of the Festival of Fiction and for sending the amazing agent Fiona Inglis who will be taking pitches from local writers on 21 November 2026.

Fiona will also be appearing on the “What NOT to do as a Newbie Author” panel on Sunday in the Writers’ Theatre.

Thank you Curtis Brown, and thank you Fiona! We really appreciate your support of the Festival of Fiction.

📚❤️ IT’S BOOK LAUNCH DAY! ❤️📚

I’m so ridiculously excited that Humpty’s Big Book of Nursery Rhymes is officially out in the world!

Getting to illustrate a book celebrating 60 years of Play School has been an absolute dream.

There’s something so lovely about these characters that I grew up on being passed down from one generation to the next, and I hope this book becomes part of that tradition - read, sung, loved (and probably slightly destroyed!) by little hands for many years to come. ❤️

A huge thank you to the wonderful teams at Harper Collins, abc and Curtis Brown for helping me bring this big, colourful baby into the world.

Out today online and all good bookstores! 🎉📚❤️

Took a flight, spotted this stack of pretties on the front desk of the airport bookstore. I screamed.
