🎨💄🎤 𝑯𝑨𝑷𝑷𝒀 𝑰𝑵𝑻𝑬𝑹𝑵𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵𝑨𝑳 𝑨𝑹𝑻𝑰𝑺𝑻𝑺 𝑫𝑨𝒀! Here I'm singing one of my favorite contemporary arias for contralto, in ARAMAIC! I felt such JOY preparing for and then performing this solo. Watch for full credits... Please support living artists before AI completely deskills and kills the artistic process, which is supposed to be difficult, personal and flawed. I have to give so much love to my fashion babes in NYC, Europe & Buffalo; and to my Jazz Aunties here. I've lost a lot of friends, a lot of gigs and a lot of opportunities, some due to my own crap behavior. Some due to jealousy and nonsense. And some just due to folks who wuz badly raised.
But no matter how thrown away or useless I feel, the LOVE I get from the Buffalo jazz, and the Plus & Disabled model community, absolutely keeps me going. The lack of financial income is one issue, but even worse is the lack of artistic output.
🖼️ 🎭🎶 Today let's reflect on how deeply undervalued the arts, especially the performing arts, are by society. My visual arts friends will make the same amount selling one painting than a fully tenured violinist at the BPO makes in an entire year!! 👠🎻👗🩰💿🎵 Thank you to Velvet & EMME/ Melissa & Maddie & Tawanna & Daykeyla; and Becky & Janice & Jules & Ivan for believing in me, encouraging me, and even giving me a little kick in the pants sometimes. It means the world to me!! Support a local working artist today!

Happy 15th Birthday QSM! The FFIAs are just a few weeks away, and Sponsor Queen Size Magazine is celebrating their 15th anniversary in print too! #tbt A favorite memory of my entire career is my first Cover and Editorial shoot with them, commissioned (a big deal for rising models). I met a fab designer, a cool photographer, hair & MU queens, and of course the amazing team of Tawana and Philip. The partnership of Ms. Blassingame and Mr. Drew is GOALS. Inspiration! I'll post a separate reel of outtakes, so stay tuned for the double drop.
designer: 710 Fashions by Denise Washington @styledbymsd
hair: the chilly Lailah P Stylez Just BeYou @lailahpstylez
make-up: the stunning Natalie Dawn @iamnataliedawn

{Look forward to a post of my second QSM Cover 'Modern Cleopatra' because I'm obseeeeessed that The Mummy 4 is filming! But one awesome thing at a time 🫨}

I did it! I went the full Alysa Liu/ Billie Eilish! Do you love me half blond?! 💛 Swipe to you'll see it was just the sunlight 🙊 I've never been at the front of the pack in an iPhone update before; nothing to complain about. I'm a lucky girl. But this is 18 Pro was a huuuge surprise gift my birthday 🌟
I continue with my mission to give you the most unfiltered, low make up, low hair, no retouching experience possible as a 100% natural model; the quality of these photos will help me in that platform 🙏🏽 The difference is astonishing! Aside from flipping the photo so that all of the text reads correctly (cause it's a model's job to sell proooduuucts) I don't even need to fix lighting anymore. Here I do have a decent face of makeup because it was right after a virtual fashion casting, so I decided it was the perfect day to test drive my new gadget. Thumbs up! I don't think I've ever gotten a sun flare off a window reflection before ✨check out my stories to learn more about that epic puppy kiss photo 🐕‍🦺

I've prooooolly never mentioned it before, but did you happen to know I'm Sicilian?! 😉🤣 Spending time with my girl the Medusa 🐍🌾 The #Trinacria is the ancient Greek symbol for the island of Sicily, which is now on the Sicilian flag… and tattooed on my back. 💛🇮🇲❤️ Sicilian family funeral memorial brunch ~ food, tears, laughter, and many tales of the good old days. Con Amici Siciliani 🍊🇮🇹

𝑻𝑯𝑨𝑵𝑲 𝒀𝑶𝑼 So much love & gratitude for all the wonderful birthday notes, messages, calls, posts & even songs! My entire family was in town but it was sad circumstances; my Uncle's Memorial. Many tears & lots of laughs. My baby cousin (bday a few days before mine ♎️) ran & jumped into my arms singing HBD, what better gift could I ask for?!?
Thanks for your 𝔭𝔞𝔱𝔦𝔢𝔫𝔠𝔢 as I respond to everyone, it was a busy weekend with lots of emotions; but I see you all, I'm looking right down the barrel of the lend at every person who showed me love, support and kindness.

💛 Had to make a special 2nd birthday post for one of my many bday twins, October 9 seems to be the shit!?! Photographer and Creative Director Neil Tandy is a very dear friend and I'm so excited he will be on my arm at the FFIAs Plus Model awards! How cute do we look together?! This was a quick lunch break with Designer Mark @mrk_xoxo @mrk_day during NYFW a few years back, my skirt is by Daykeyla @daykeyla_fashions. 🧡 Neil @neil_tandy is in Paris shooting right now, check out his work and hop on that train!

Was CLΣӨPΛƬRΛ TOO extra? Am I Minimalist? 😱 During a consult with my Designer, I described my style as Minimalist. She started laughing in surprise 🙊 and I'm like "ummm but I wear very little jewelry and little makeup, simple outfits. My personal vibe is clean and low-key..?" And then I realized THIS HERE is how folks normally see me!! We had a good laugh over that. 🤣
Continuing in my CLΣӨPΛƬRΛ series, here's me being *extra* extra • Candids by me ~ Photography by Doug Hansgate AMP Studios NY @dhansgate ~ styling by Adrian Macadory ~ Hair by Brittany LaBella ~ Makeup by SalleyNicole ~ Garments by Dede Allure • SWIIIIIPE • Carmina is represented and managed by WESTHAVEN @westhavenmgmt
