🏹 my life, my story, for Your kingdom and glory…

_____
an overdue story time✨
this summer I ended up at a youth camp in the middle of nowhere Georgia leading young people in worship with new friends in a new context, but for the glory of the same God.

serving those students felt like a God-appointed refuge after what has been a pretty wild couple of years. both weeks of camp I saw the Holy Spirit move in such specific ways through the team, conversations, prayer, prophetic encouragement and it built my faith and confidence in Him and His Church in a way that restored a few buried pieces of my heart.

before the last session I found my way to the chapel and sat in the pews prayerfully awaiting a “God-drop” for the season to come, which led to this prayer above.

months later I am just beginning to see a glimpse of what God said to me that day (after a bold prayer from a sweet leader @billieblalock 🥹) and now I’m convicted to step out and share a bit of my story, testimony, progress etc. instead of hiding behind silent consumption or safe cryptic “dumps” 🥴

why? because God’s faithfulness is revealed over time and in community... by looking back to moments where we (or others) experienced His peace, joy, provision, comfort we can move forward another day in faith!

my story is one of His faithfulness and I’m realizing that requires the not-so-perfect progress posts. so here’s my baby step of faith and obedience made public for accountability. my life’s still a messy, puzzling, work in progress and that’s okay because at the very least it means He’s still at work 🙌🏽

for now I’m taking a page from Paul’s encouragement to Timothy…

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.”

Custom summer camp 2023. WOW. It was challenging and crazy fun. Voices were lost. I got to serve the next generation with my favorite people. Fury put up a good fight and came home in 2nd place. Most importantly, God moved in these students and they are going home having had some sweet encounters with Jesus.

‼️ Fury Forever ‼️

Love that our church invests in our kids so much! Tonight Custom Students and Kidscoast teamed up for a Parent Connect night. They brought in @toby.slough to talk about mental health in our kids!! Parenting is hard. I love learning new ways to connect with my kid and being reminded that I am not alone in all of this. I have really been so blessed to have such a great tribe surround Elizabeth and I. #bringbackthedinnertable

I never want to get to a place in my life where I think I am too good or too busy to live open handed and make myself available to God. He leaves me speechless every time I say yes to the next thing he puts in front of me.

These students experienced the Holy Spirit - some for the first time. I can try to count the prayers that God answered over the pay few days but I would still come up short. The kingdom is free but it’s costly and I would pay that cost every time. I’m not quitting on this generation!! #aboveall #summercamp2022

This weekend is unexplainable. God allowed us the time to take a pause from our chaos and sit in the beauty He created while these students dove deeper into their faith and relationships with one another. So much freedom was discovered and gifted on this mountain. Truly humbling.
