A shoutout to the crew that runs the Lousiville State Rec Area water obstacle course! 💪

These young men (and ladies, should’ve got them in the pic too) made the day fun and funny! I always converse with strangers and people around me 😜 and talking with these guys was great for these boys, learned what they were going to college for and even found a future barber in the group 😁

But on the way to this course, we talked about phones and getting our faces out of phones when in lines and in public places, that awkward moments aren’t awkward if you force yourself out of them, and conversations with others are the human interactions we need, leading to life connections that could take you who knows where!?

Always teaching these kids there is more to life than those dang phones 🫣😅💪❤️☀️

Every school needs this message. It gives me so much hope to see this younger generation taking accountability for their mental health, and being proactive rather than reactive when it comes to this sensitive topic. I am grateful for @pride_purple for giving their students a voice in their decision making, this was truly a unique opportunity where it was actually the students setting up the event rather than an admin or a foundation. I am proud of these kids, and I am grateful that they chose to partner with me for this event. Our mission is to ensure that every student knows that their life is worth living. With the correct balance of excitement & impact, I believe we are able to accomplish this mission every time our presentation is given. Thank you LHS🦁💜
