peripatetic, poetic, and chic 🌟

what a show to go out on. a chorus line is a show about the very world I’ve grown up knowing- theatre, auditioning, and in general the kind of safety and belonging you only get here in the arts. the scene leading up to what I did for love- and, most definitely, the song itself- really hit me hard Saturday night. I don’t know what the next year- the next four- have in store for me; I don’t know if the stage will always be there, but in the song, Diana sings “the gift was ours to borrow… but I won’t forget what I did for love,” and I’ve been feeling the weight of those words. it’s been an absolute joy these four years on this stage with my family fostered through art.
