2026.10.17 - Rooftop View from 215–217 Sai Yee Street, Mong Kok
.
I have always loved sketching from high vantage points. The wide, sweeping view instantly brings a sense of openness and calm. Standing on the rooftop along Sai Yee Street, the majestic Lion Rock stood gracefully under soft sunlight breaking through the clouds, framed by rich, shifting layers of greens.

It was such a joy to sketch alongside passionate sketching buddies, sharing inspiration and soaking in the creative atmosphere together. Thank you @kokekola_kk !

Location: Mong Kok, Hong Kong

Such a wonderful day with @wahayeahsketchgroup sketching crawl in Shau Kei Wan under a very hot atmosphere after mid “AUTUMN” festival.
It was too hot to go to the harbour side, thus I rather sketch the tram terminus which I didn’t finish long time ago, spent around 1.5 hours there then I moved under the tree for an ink sketch on light and shade. Such a fruitful day we had for so many great sketches and new member joined today. Please stay tune for more activities during October and November as the temperature should be cooler.

During our 10th anniversary exhibition, we gathered the courage built up over a decade and organized two special events intense enough to leave newcomers with unforgettable memories of urban sketching：“Night Owls Sketching” and “Summer Camp: Gathering at the Peak of JTIA”.
Both were designed to immerse everyone completely in the passionate, all‑in atmosphere of sketching without limits.

That night, dozens of us started with a hearty dinner on Temple Street, then moved from sketching in a nightclub to the fruit market; later we captured everyday life at McDonald’s; and finally welcomed sunrise at the dawn market, experiencing its unique burst of Pure Fish Frenzy Fun.
Four locations in twelve hours — from a large group to a determined final team — and we still exceeded our goals.
We were tired, sweaty, and honestly a bit smelly… but our hearts were absolutely full.

I’m truly grateful to this family of sketchers for creating such a golden memory together.
Love you all 🫶

Finally conquered #

A wonderful gathering today with many new faces. It’s been a while since we all stayed together instead of scattering across different spots. We really shared the energy under the shelter. Loved the lively sketching atmosphere today🥳
