Happy Friday, Snakes! Today may be the opening of #rogueone but its also the day we recognize another #socal_origins tale. Here's our brother @cyko_9 's first recollection of Joes. Check out Breaker in this pic! It truly is his first joe. Amazing!
I got my first GIJoe, Breaker, on my birthday in 1982. Got the JUMP, too. Weird combo, but he was the coolest with his elbows & knees! I was a Star Wars fan at the time. Breaker swapped his gear for the JUMP often and gave the Millennium Falcon trouble. Guess he was sortof a Boba Fett fill-in. Forward to 2007 and I'm digging my collection out of storage. Breaker & the Joes all need O-ring repairs, and I realize I can't get rid of them. I start playing with my kid and get into photography via JoeDios & Flickr. As the community shifted, I came to Instagram and met the SoCalCobras. It's been great seeing everyone's styles & a steady feed of GIJoe! - [ ] #gijoe #cobra #cobraattack #cobraretreat #aruthlessterroristorganizationdeterminedtoruletheworld #yojoe #arealamericanhero #knowingishalfthebattle #custom #fightingforfreedomwherevertherestrouble #SoCalCobras #socalcobrasfamily #gijoenation #collectorswithoutborders #yojoe #gijoeactionfigures

I was hoping to have time to take a new tribute pic for Craig "Outrider" Anderson who passed away a little over four years ago. Craig was the master of photographing little action figures and making them look realistic . He was for sure the major reason that I started taking pictures of my GI Joes and the reason I wanted to get better at it. Even though I never met him in real life I considered him a friend. He sent me some very supportive emails when G was in the NICU. I miss him and I miss his comments on my pictures. So this was a tribute shot I did for him that he actually got to see and comment on. All the pics on the view screen in the back are some of my favorite pics of his. #outrider #gijoe #cobra #neverforgotten #televiper #toycrewbuddies #toyart
