Transitions Pt.2

Ste Roberts - Queen Bee (Live Version) (Cyphon)

Oskar Offerman - Dopey (Live At Robert Johnson)

I love the broken sound of these two songs, the composition of haunting notes and broken drum patterns adds so much depth.
Combined together you get sonically lost, the Denons fader effects create additional texture and build awkward tensions.

Ps… I got a bit heavy on the touch screen and made it dip 🤪, to only discover after the video it has a support bar I could used to adjust 🤣
Still discovering…

Enjoy 💚

Found this one while digging through records in Mexico.

Made by Synaptic Voyager, a Sheffield-based electronic project with a sound that sits somewhere between techno, electro and dark futuristic machine driven grooves. Strange, atmospheric and just the right amount of eerie, making the perfect combination.

Released on @cyphonrecordings a label based in London, UK. Its focus is on electro, abstract electronica, IDM and Detroit-inspired futurism, with a strong interest in the DIY/home-recording spirit of the ’90s. #uk #electro #undergroundmusic #vinyldj #techno

Another day, and another EP to shout about, this one with a slightly different flavour with me getting to explore my deeper side.

Forthcoming on the mighty @cyphonrecordings is Ey Aye EP.

There’s A Schizophrenic In Our Park kicks off the EP, with me being silly on a teenage engineering vocoder thing copying some chat I stumbled across about a schizophrenic thinking he was attending a wine bar in the garden of Eden, I even got the 101 to randomly mimic me sayin this, Buzzin. Moving on to Queen Bee, which was formally released on my label however I thought the drums could be improved, so I did and reworked in my live set and wanted to release it for 2026 as it’s a pretty special tune to myself.

Flip to the B and some more wonky stuff, 80’s (maybe 90’s) AI computers talking to each other with some rolling beats and bass behind it. Finishing the EP with Lemon Top… Some bleepy deep electro named simply because I grew up in Redcar, and this is a pretty historic Ice Cream.

Feels nice to have @jimpster_gram & his son @stanodelldj signing this record. A couple of generations of heads to fill you with some warmth.

Out very soon, pre orders at all your favourites.

VINYL SERIES #002 — Handpicked Grooves

The second chapter of the series.

A selection where UK electronic influences meet minimal textures and deep, atmospheric elements, shaped by a hypnotic groove and distinctive sounds that reveal something new with every listen.

A meeting between two different worlds: Loxodrome, a project by the legendary UK DJ and producer Jimpster, and Delazar, an emerging project from South America.

Take your time.

The first moments introduce the records.
The blend begins around 0:20.

Track Selection:
Loxodrome – More Alive
Delazar – Huira

Both records were picked up during a digging session at Phonica Records, London.

Comment ‘JUNOPICKS’ to listen!

Long-serving Italian producer DJ Rocca (Luca Roccatagliatti) is most often associated with Balearica, deep house, Afro-cosmic and dubbed-out nu-disco, though his deep and dense catalogue is packed with surprises. 2022's Code 041 EP, an eyebrow-raising contribution to Jimpster and Tom Roberts 90s IDM and ambient techno-inspired Cyphon Recordings imprint, is one such surprise. Here reissued for the first time, it sees Rocca wander between tipsy, far-sighted melodic electro ('Code 041'), bleep-sporting new wave-meets-early house fusion (the intergalactic-sounding 'No Gym'), glorious nods to Warp's legendary Artificial Intelligence series ('The Bigger Lake'), and sparkling, break-sporting electronica ('Omega').
