1

Looking through some actual photographs from another time.
1- I think this was 1991, Lime Rock Historics, pretending I was the driver of this iconic 910.
2- @rlrally and I took my Dad's 535is to the Apple Hill Rallycross in 1997. He didn't know for many years 😬
3- Photo of me by @smith_benjamin_s, Maine Winter 1997. I waited months for that 555 hat, mail ordered from Demon Tweeks.
4- @rlrally and my first rally, Maine Summer 1999 in an ex VW Motorsport Golf. It didn't go to plan. There's an amazing stuck in the woods story that goes with this.
5- Our 4th rally, Maine 2000 in a Group A Galant VR4 built by @vermont.sportscar when there were maybe 4-5 people there. We retired with a clutch issue IIRC.
6/7- Two awesome US rallycars. Sakis' VW Fox Wagon "Kitcar". It had a V6 twin turbo Audi engine, 4000 quattro driveline and rear radiator. Sound was amazing.
2nd is Bill Malik's 240. It had high compression red block, a @motordesignsweden Evo cylinder head, Motec M4, about 260hp and a sequential gearbox. It was so badass for 1998 (and would be today as well!)
Last 3 are one of the coolest Subarus ever built. Cilti Sport (we got to know the very nice owner of Cilti in later years through Prodrive) in France built it using a 1996 spec full works Group A driveline but with the legacy air to water. This was at the IRSI Ice Race in Sherbrooke. The antilag on this car was so incredibly intense. I had a media pass for photographing and I remember feeling it in my chest when it would pass only 2m away, at full lock, on the limiter, then on full ALS. It was incredible.
