|| 2024….I seen an Instagram ad for a model sip n’ shoot hosted by @chrisxburnett (shout to him for the dope event, bring it back ! ). I was nervous asl but said yolo🤪. Shortly after my fearless grandmother’s❤️ passing from ALS at the end of 2023🙏🏾, I told myself I wouldn’t let my fears and anxieties of life get in my way of living it and the way that I wanted to live it🌹. I caught an Uber right after work and was greeted by my God’s happy confirmation 🙌🏾. I got out and was lost iwel. Blessedly, I was met by two kind & beautiful creatives (@iamasyacreative) 🌻& (@ebiairee__) 🌷who greeted me instantly and helped me break the ice. Fast forward to heading in, it was dopeee🔥. The sets, the creatives, I lowkey felt at home in my soul to be so nervous. Shoutout to @photosby13waves 📸 for the camera work from that night and helping me to ease up in the camera. (Mind you once I was comfortable, I bothered him allll night😂😂🤣). Thank you for your kindness, grace and patience🙏🏾. Following that year, I pushed myself more and got out of my own way, casting calls, taking more pictures, connecting and purposefully surrounding myself with the environment of what I wanted. Getting out of this crippling idea of fear of being seen and heard and learning myself and growing out of comfort. I am so proud of myself cause I did everything scared and alone (but not without my Lord’s presence ofc✨) . Definitely have room to grow but am so freakin proud of how far I’ve come🌱🌹. Little Jade is grateful and Ioving this confidence !🥳💐 so cheers to that !🥂
