I always had a passion for flashin’... sort of. ⁣

A very trendy word as of late is “balance”. In almost everything that involves greatness, balance is essential. But sometimes it seems like the word “balance” and what people deem to be synonymous with the word are becoming more and more marginalized every day. A word that I tend to reach for more often is “duality”. I sometimes prefer this word over “balance” because to me it kind of embraces the appreciation of opposing extremes that make a person, place, or thing who/what they are. ⁣
⁣
An example: I prefer spending time alone, but I still have a great time when I’m around others; in fact, I sometimes crave the opportunity to spend time with others! ⁣
⁣
This part of life (duality that is) has been on my mind because I’m fighting with myself about whether or not I should pursue modeling opportunities in this city. It’s an internal fight because I have an extreme love hate relationship with what comes with being in this industry. For the longest I’ve felt guilty about disliking something that has been relatively good to me, but fortunately, all that guilt melted away when I accepted that duality and balance make this feeling okay. ⁣
