☕️🌴 WAIKIKI’S SECRET COFFEE OASIS

We found one of the coolest hidden coffee spots in Waikiki 👀

Tucked away on the second-floor pool deck of Romer House, Cowrie Coffee is a lowkey morning pop-up serving specialty coffee, matcha, and bagels in one of the most unique settings in Waikiki.

We tried their coffee flight, which is the perfect way to sample the menu if you can’t decide on just one drink. The lineup included the Vanilla Cold Brew, Lavender Matcha, Bee Sting, and Cacao Latte — plus we had to grab an everything bagel with a schmear to go with it. 🔥

What really makes this place special though is the setting. Grab your coffee, find a spot around the pool deck, and enjoy a completely different side of Waikiki for the morning.

MEET ERNIE 🌱 — 91 YEARS OLD AND STILL FARMING TURMERIC IN WAIMANALO

For decades, Ernie has been growing the bright golden root often called "liquid gold.”

Turmeric has been treasured for generations for its distinctive flavor, vibrant color, and incredible health benefits. But there’s a lot that goes into getting it from the soil in Waimanalo to the products you see at the farmers market.

For Episode 1 of BEHIND THE BOOTH, we spent a day with Ernie of Organic Turmeric Treasures to learn the entire process — how turmeric is grown, harvested, processed, and eventually brought to market.

Along the way, Ernie shares his extraordinary story and knowledge of the plant, which has kept him healthy and farming at 91 years young.
