One of my biggest fears is hitting a deer, especially on a dark country road.. well I didn’t hit a deer but my babyboy and his friends did last night. In this scary world that we live in I have to be a prayerful, believing mother and I’m so thankful God kept my baby and his friends safe last night. Hunting season just started and the deer are everywhere so be careful. His car is probably totaled but that’s just stuff I still have my baby in one piece and that’s all that matters to me 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Picture Mail from my baby boy!! Not even sure how it’s possible he’s starting his junior year of college but here we are 🥹🥹🥹

New school, new team, new state and new goals. Praying this year you continue mature and grow physically, mentally and spiritually. You might be 21 but you still my babyboy so you already know I’m gonna stay on your butt only because I want you to succeed in ways I never could. Go be great and make me proud but make yourself proud first and foremost. Let’s go Dragons 🐉 🏀💚

A quick 24 hours in Ohio with my babyboy!! Cedar Point yesterday and official Tiffin Move-In/Orientation Day today. The weather was perfect yesterday and there were no long lines so we got ride most of the big rides. Since the basketball team moved in a few weeks ago there wasn’t much to do for move-in day so after some orientation paperwork we had breakfast at D’Amares new fave breakfast spot before I headed home. Classes start Monday and of course I can’t wait for the basketball season to start 🏀💚

D’Amare and Matthew were 2 grades apart but both basketball and football teammates during D’Amares Junior and Senior years so naturally Angie became one of my booster mom friends. Being a couple years apart the boys didn’t hang out much off the court or field together like Angie and I but my heart is full finding this picture of them at one of me and Angie’s favorite places to spend our summer days. Matthew was a great kid with wonderful manners and loved his family so much. We know his love for the Lord so we must find comfort he’s in the arms of the Lord now. While we may never understand the whys and the hows we have to choose to remember the good times and remember Matthew for the smart, strong young man he was! Whether you know the Morey’s or not please continue to pray for them and their family as well as the Delta Community as we all do what we can to comfort the Morey’s during this difficult time 🙏🏼

Oh what a weekend we had celebrating the Babyboy!! Started off Friday night with “legal drinks” with some of our favorite people. I didn’t get pics with everyone but thank you all so much for showing up for D’Amare. Woke up Saturday and headed up to Michigan City to go skydiving.. if you’ve ever thought about going this is definitely your sign to go!! So much fun and if we could have went again today we so would have. Still can’t even really find the words to describe the views and the feeling of just flying in the sky but it was AHHHMAZING!! We really weren’t up for drinking after Friday night (iykyk) so we just had dinner on the water and then headed to the casino so D’Amare could make a small donation (haha). Today we did a little outlet shopping and ended our day with dinner at Yummy Bowl and now he’s headed back to Tiffin. My pockets might be empty but my heart is full and I hope my babyboy enjoyed his birthday week 🥳

I might have woken up in Indiana and D’Amare woken up in Ohio so Deb and I hopped on the highway to celebrate my babyboy!! We found a great steakhouse in Findlay and of course celebrated with a few “legal” drinks. My mama heart is full and cannot wait to continue the celebrations this weekend 🥂🎉🪂

Baby brother, I am immensely proud of who you are. You can light up any room just by being yourself. He’s got the type of personality that can make anyone laugh or smile no matter how bad the day has been. Watching you grow up has been one of my favorite things to do. You’re the only reason I care or know anything about basketball. I love watching you chase after your dreams while chasing after God at the same time.

We may be 30 & 21 now, but I’ll never forget how excited I was to bring you home from the hospital, my very own “baby alive” 🤣🤍

Happy 21st 🎂

Happy 21st Birthday to my Baby Boy! I love you so much and I’m so proud of the young man you are growing up to be. One of my favorite compliments is hearing what a great kid I raised or how you went out of your way to speak to someone and gave them a hug. Please don’t stop being that guy. Your charm and personality will take you so far in this life.

Well I definitely wasn’t prepared for you to actually grow up to be taller than me but here we are.. 21 years old WHAT!?!? And not even in the same state as me as I type this 😭😭😭 but you’re really growing up on me whether I’m ready or not!! I can’t wait to celebrate you today and all week!!

I might miss my 8lb 10oz babyboy but I do love the best friend you’re growing up to be especially our long phone conversations talking about everything or nothing at all. But don’t forget I’m still Mama and I’m gonna fuss and probably cuss but you know it’s always in love and trust me I actually know a few things!!

Now as you enter your junior year of college I pray this year you achieve all your goals and some. Last year you surprised us all even yourself with your grades so keep that momentum this year. I’m so ready to see you back on the basketball court with your new team in the fall even if we’re wearing green now (iykyk).

Hoping this is your best year yet.. stay focused and connected to God and everything else will fall in place 🫶🏼🫶🏼
