todays #dumblunchclub brought us to @nydelijuice on Memorial, past 285 @ the prison. Opened last year I believe, and passed by a million times but never got the chance to stop by.

High marks all around, definitely felt the same vibe as walking into a proper bodega (albeit not as packed to the brim with random items to fulfill that intagible mystery need) - high marks to the sandwiches for sure. Their signature chopped cheese (no pix so you know it went quick) was very solid - although i've definitely had my share of better (i prefer a cheesier chop tbh), i've definitely had way worse. I opted for the pastemi reuben on hero, and it ruled. Not Katz's style stacked to the heavens, but real good meat and not an oversaucing.

The real star of the show was the orange kool-aid pineapple spears, which tasted like ORANGE and officially marked the start of summer in my book. Really good smoothie too - tons more left to try, definitely goin back soon - apparently open 24/7 which rules.

Felt like playing with some Saturnalia inspired neon colors in a very quick doodle as I wound down last night. I think a rewatch is in order soon. Really hope the talented cast and crew can return for more stories in this universe.

Can’t wait to own the score & the blu-ray.

@saturnalia_film @maxxfish7 @d.lerch Saturnalia inspired doodle! Sightless eyes within a pink & green veil.
