~ 27 years ago, I was sitting in this exact lecture series as a business student at UVU listening to Utah entrepreneurs share their stories. Three weeks ago, Dusty and I returned as speakers. Talk about a fun full-circle moment!! @uvuwsb @utah.valley.university

I LOVED this class in college. Hearing entrepreneurs share their journeys was one of the highlights of my business education. Never did I imagine Dusty and I would someday be telling our story.

30+ years of building PROLOOK. So many highs, lows, risks, mistakes, lessons, incredible people, and memories along the way. And somehow, we squeezed that journey into one presentation.

We called it BUILD ANYWAY. Because that’s what we’ve learned to do through every season of life and business.

I am feeling especially grateful for this experience, for the people who have been part of our story, and for the opportunity to inspire even one student the way I was inspired 27 years ago. I’ll put the link in my story today if you’d like to watch it online.

30+ years later, we’re still building. Still learning. And even more excited about what’s next!!

~ Some weekends you just know you’ll remember forever. 🤍

We spent three perfect fall days at Sundance celebrating one of the happiest humans we know - our Rennie - and her Mike.

Ten years ago, Rennie ran across the U campus yelling at Kiana, “YOU’RE SEE JANE’S DAUGHTER!” 😂 Back in my blogging days, our kids occasionally had the funny experience of being recognized from See Jane Blog. That moment turned into a friendship, and over the last decade, Rennie became family.

Kiana says, “All of my favorite memories involve Rennie,” which says everything.

Rennie is JOY. Radical kindness. She walks into a room of strangers and leaves with a room full of best friends. She dreams BIG, lives life at 110%, loves people fiercely and radiates happiness.

And she didn’t just love one of our girls - she loved all of them. Especially this past year in NYC, she has wrapped her arms around Sela as she made the city her home too. Our entire family loves her.

And now there is Mike. ❤️ Her perfect match in kindness, adventure and love of life.

And this WEDDING.

Rennie was an ICONIC bride. Custom feather chaps to ride a mechanical bull? Of course. A string quartet at the top of Sundance? Peak fall colors in every direction? Completely magical. ✨

In between celebrating, we soaked up Sundance with our family - Oktoberfest, horses, BB climbing into a fire truck, time with dear friends, and his tiny bike everywhere like toddler mountain biking. 😂

Sundance was already special to us. Somehow it feels even more special now.

Rennie + Mike, we love you both so much. Rennie, thank you for running across that campus ten years ago, loving our girl, and then loving our whole family right along with her.

The world is brighter with you in it, and we’re so happy you found someone who shines right alongside you.

Here’s to a life lived at 110%. For rich or for richer!! 🙌🏼🤍🍂✨

The grand finale to my first week in NYC was seeing this phenomenal little band in Queens singing some of my songs. Lead singer @pmurraymusic and I first became friends on Twitter in its early days, and when he saw that I was moving to NYC, he told me that his band has been covering my songs at a beach bar gig they’ve had in Queens for a few years. I had to go see it for myself and I still haven’t recovered from my heart exploding. 🥹💗💗💗💗

~ Ready or not (again) Sela’s sophomore year at FIT starts today. I’m so grateful that this year is starting off a bit smoother than last year. NYC is far from home & our family & especially her nephew but now she knows she can do it & she’s excited to be back. There were good-bye tears but way less than last year. 🥹🙏🏼🤍🤍🤍

She’s in her first apartment & because we spent all our time going to Red Sox games, it’s barely set-up - she has a mattress on the floor and a tv. She had a long list of apartment dreams: “Pre-war, crown molding, tree-lined street, etc etc etc” and by some miracle she found it verrry last minute and it check-marks them all. It’s just very empty - except for clothing - good luck sis!! 😋

The best BEST news - some of our closest family friends - the Gledhill’s, are living in NYC for a year & they are one block away from her. And, another family friend - Isabel Larsen just moved to the city for grad school. Sela’s NY tribe is growing. 🤍🙏🏼🤍

~ As luck would have it - the Red Sox have been in town for a Yankees series all weekend!! 4 games in 3 days. The Sox lost the series but they honored Dolly with her music & the flag at half-mast 😭⚾️😭 and we had fun. But still watching Dolly content around the clock. Long live Dolly!! 😭😭😭
