To our dearest daughter Anu. Our first born child who brought us so much joy and happiness to me and your proud father. We named you Uma as your birth name which was also such a beautiful name but as a nickname, we called you Anu. We clearly remember the date and time to the second when you were born. With you we were in Hong Kong and then Korea then we finally moved to Taipei. Anu you grew up to become such a beautiful, young, caring, loving and a very humble person and we are always going to be so proud of you.
We were so lucky to have moved to India knowing that you were always going to be by our side every moment. You really took care of us in every possible way Anu.
It’s going to be so hard to stay without you here as everyday of ours started with your phone call and we spoke about so many nice things. You used to encourage us to go out to watch movies and meet our friends. You were always so thoughtful and made sure we kept ourselves busy.
After Papa and I found out about your health, it completely turned our world upside down. We never thought that we would lose you so soon Anu. It’s so so painful to have lost you. I know me and your Papa have to be strong for all our children and most importantly our grandchildren. You will always be with us in our heart and soul Anu and we are so proud to have you as our daughter. We will have you in our prayers each and every day. Keep on smiling my beautiful and caring daughter, I love you forever!

On May 2nd, 2024 my world changed forever. I could never fathom losing my beloved elder sister Anu. It’s broken me to pieces. She was the flickering light of a candle that lit up my world. She was quiet and humble, yet radiant, just a peaceful soul. She kept us all in check and was the glue that kept the entire family connected. Anu taught us so many things that will remain with us, including her never ending resilience. Her strong will and courage throughout her battle with cancer was something that is truly remarkable and inspiring. If there was one thing where I feel that I made an impact from my side was that I was able to make her laugh. She would laugh at my jokes and silliness and it would be pure joy. Her smile and laughter will always be a part of me forever.

Anu, you left us too soon but I know you are free of the pain you endured. Not only have you been an amazing sister to Tanu, Karan and I, but you have been a loving daughter to Mama and Papa, a nurturing mother to Kapil, Komal and Sumo, a beloved wife to Prakash, a caring sister-in-law to Jackie, Simran and Niharika, and a carefree Aunt to Devesh, Rohit, and Dhruv. To me, not only are you my eldest sister, you have been a mentor, a friend, a confidant, a blessing and I will cherish each and every moment we shared. You will continue to be my ray of light, my inspiration, and my angel.

Anu, I miss you so much and will love you eternally. Rest in Peace my sweet sister. 🙏🏽
