Living in the Himalaya — an evening of films, conversations, food, music, and community. 🏔️🎬

What began as a collaboration between Living with Sunshine, rooted in environmental storytelling, and Walking the Himalaya, bringing attention to Himalayan culture, history, trade, and human lives; became a beautiful evening of connection, right from a living room in Bombay.

Through 'No Water, No Village',' Solastalgia', 'Spirits', and 'Shera', we travelled across the Himalaya from receding glaciers and fragile ecosystems to migration, belonging, tradition, wildlife, and the emotional landscapes of climate change.
Each film opened the door to thoughtful discussions, debates, questions, and personal experiences. A special thank you to Arun Fulara, writer-director of Shera, for joining us and sharing the story behind the film firsthand.

The Walking the Himalaya team also introduced their upcoming walk through the Niti Valley of Uttarakhand, taking place from 12–20 September, and invited us to learn, participate, and spread the word.

The conversations continued well after the screening with food from the eastern Himalaya, Nepalese rock music from the central Himalaya, and an after-party that turned the evening into a rather joyful Himalayan gathering. 🍲🎶

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed up with curiosity, warmth, and enthusiasm and to 'Walking the Himalaya' for generously sponsoring the food and snacks and helping make this evening possible.
A wholesome experience of the Himalaya - its land, people, stories, and spirit, without leaving Bombay. ✨

Until the next screening.

If it was supposed to get easier by the fourth one, someone forgot to tell RAAM.

Behind every successful ultra cyclist is a team that keeps the wheels turning.

For Kabir Rachure’s crew, The Great Himalayan was more than just supporting a rider.. it was about teamwork, sleepless nights, quick decisions, and staying strong through every challenge the Himalayas threw their way.

Because in an ultra race, every finish line is a team effort.

This is the story of Kabir Rachure’s crew at The Great Himalayan Ultra.

In the middle of a forest, my mind started questioning all my life choices, especially this ultra… but I was already too far in.

The best friendships are made of endless chats, food that disappears too quickly, and a glass (or two 😉) on the terrace at Zeist Feni ♥️Add the pitter-patter of rain + river views that’s a Sunday on the Zeist Feni terrace. Here the river slows down time, and conversations last a lifetime.

Nothing beats the pre-race jitters. I try my best to have some chill time with my crew to keep my nervousness down, but deep in the back of my mind, only two thoughts keep running through: push every pedal and don’t fall.
