What an incredible weekend at D1 Combine University!

D1 Coaches from Miami, Tampa, Sarasota, Dallas, Knoxville, and Cincinnati gathered at our Nashville headquarters to dive into the fundamentals, progressions, and coaching techniques behind the Combine drills, along with the principles of strength and speed development.

I am grateful to God for this opportunity to learn, grow, and sharpen one another. To Him be the glory for enlarging our territory!

😴 ATHLETE HACKS #2: SLEEP = PERFORMANCE

Sleep isn’t just “rest.” It’s part of your training.

During the season, athletes are balancing practices, games, school, lifting, travel, and everything else life throws at them. That makes recovery even more important.

If you want to perform at your best:
• Prioritize consistent sleep 🌛
• Get some sunlight in the morning! Even 15 minutes can help normalize your circadian rhythm 🌅
• Give yourself time to wind down & practice deep diaphramatic breathing 🧘🏽‍♂️
• Keep your room cool, dark, and quiet 🔇❄️
• Aim for enough sleep to actually recover (9-11 hrs/night for athletes) 🛌
• Consume less caffeine ☕️
• Eat your last bite of food >3 hrs prior to bedtime 🍲

You can’t out-train poor recovery.

Train hard. Recover harder.

What time are you usually going to bed during your season? 👇
