Last night, Dante’s Inferno: A Fusion of Text, Music and Thought brought to Teatro Niccolini a journey into the Divine Comedy, spanning the centuries while speaking directly to the present.
Dante’s verses came to life through Daniele Bartolini’s performance, accompanied by the text and narration of Donato Santeramo and the live music and sound design of Andrea Gozzi.
Words, theatre and sound came together in an immersive experience that took us into the heart of Dante’s Inferno and its questions, which still feel remarkably close to our own time.

Thank you to the artists and everyone who joined us for the evening.

I partecipanti saranno invitati a pensare atti performativi e materiale testuale.

Il laboratorio è gratuito e aperto a tutti.

The Caretaker has made his final rounds in Kingston. 💙

After six evenings of quiet hallways, unexpected perspectives, and audiences following Vincent Leblanc-Beaudoin through the world of Le Concierge, we are closing this chapter of K&P’s 12th season with a lot to be grateful for.

Thank you to Vincent Leblanc-Beaudoin, Daniele Bartolini, and the entire Le Concierge team for bringing such a singular experience to Kingston. Thank you to our partners at Centre culturel Frontenac for helping make the production possible, and to every audience member who stepped into the halls with curiosity and allowed the work to become something uniquely their own.

I cannot express how garetful I am to be performing this show in Calgary, with this INCREDIBLE TEAM around me. We have just THREE SHOWS LEFT - and we want to get everyone in this city out to see it. The impact that this story continues to have, wherever I go, gives me so much life. I’ve been having an absolute joy out here. The audiences, including some old friends, have been lovely. But it’s the messages from people I’ve never met, the students in the workshop who are sharing their stories for the first time, that really make me proud. CHEESY WARNING: There have been moments in my life where I feel like I’m truly serving a purpose, something bigger, something that will create change...and about halfway through this tour I’m feeling this to the extreme.

IT. WOULD. NOT. BE. POSSIBLE. WITHOUT. THIS. TEAM. The team with me on the road has been especially amazing: Daniele (Director/Dramaturge), Ada (Stage Manager), Carlos (Tour Production Manager), Sarah (Lighting Designer) & Barret (Projection Designer). We laugh, we problem solve, we make art. We also climb hills and mountains and go to Dollarama. They have been going ABOVE AND BEYOND to adapt and create in these new spaces.

Final shows in Calgary are Feb. 13th 7pm, and Feb 14th 2pm & 7pm at the Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge.

‘As I Must Live It’ team - originally produced in Toronto by Theatre Passe Muraille and Modern Times Stage Company. Tour produced by TPM - currently at the YMCA Calgary venues programmed by the wonderful Kate Stadel. She brought us to the BIGGEST & SECOND BIGGEST YMCA’s in the WORLD!

And ❤️ to the @ontarioartscouncil for funding
