If anyone can orchestrate an early morning ceremony on a mesa top at the base of the La Sals, followed by 25 close friends swapping out of desert formal and ripping 28 miles of the Whole Enchilada, it’s @karin_pocock and @alpinetothemax.

Thank you for bringing together your mountain people for a beautiful desert celebration of this beautiful chapter.

You two remind us to be fiercely and unconditionally ourselves, wildly support our person, and to choose vulnerable, honest love — while having the most adventurous fun along the way. One of my favorite takeaways: “Always have the courage to say the hard thing and the patience to listen.”

We’ll cherish these days with you both and the many more to come!

Day four of the Packraft Instructor Course, hosted by @gunnisonkayakprogram and sponsored by @zootownsurfers.

Over four days of training on the water, Zoo Town’s newest packraft instructors @davovicker, @audreyladd, and @cullin.ranney developed the skills, judgment, and confidence needed to safely instruct or guide guests on river adventures.

In this clip, the team navigates a Class II+ rapid they nicknamed “Packraft Flipper,” putting their training to the test and proving they’re ready for the season ahead.

Whether you’re looking to try packrafting for the first time or explore Montana’s rivers from a new perspective, our guides are ready to show you Montana’s beautiful wilderness from the water.

Book your next adventure with @zootownsurfers.

Punk Rock History:
Punk rock emerged in the mid-1970s as a raw, energetic reaction against the polished sounds of mainstream rock. Bands like The Ramones and Sex Pistols led the charge, emphasizing simplicity and a DIY ethos. This genre fostered a sense of community, with punk shows often becoming safe havens for individuals to express themselves freely.

Rock ‘n’ roll, which blossomed in the 1950s, laid the groundwork for punk. It combined elements of blues, rhythm and blues, and country, creating a vibrant culture of rebellion and connection. Over the decades, both genres have continued to evolve, uniting fans and musicians alike through shared values and experiences.

The recent performance by The Menzingers and I Am the Avalanche showcased this spirit perfectly. Their energy on stage not only thrilled the crowd but also reaffirmed the bonds formed through music. It’s a testament to how the industry continues to bring people together, creating a network of support and camaraderie!
