Cliff Notes: Thank You to Everyone who traveled and showed up to celebrate @scrappy_dappy_que on his 30th Birthday! We had A TIME!

Novel: Thank you everyone for showing up and helping to make this a success. I’ve been with Chris since 2014, when we were 20 years old, and over these ten years of knowing and loving him, I’ve grown to admire how selfless he is. Selfless when we first started dating to individually walk my friends to their cars after parties to ensure their safety. Selfless to help fix his and my friends’ cars, oftentimes at no cost. He even had the patience to teach my best friend how to change her own brakes. Selfless in being an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on, a dependable rsvp at all of his friends events; even if that means buying a flight for a 22 hour turnaround trip. He’s The embodiment of a good friend.
Also over this decade, I recognized that he treats his birthday like any other day. I’ve been told by his siblings and close friends that that’s because, as a child, he’s be good up until Christmas, then get back to school and forget he has a birthday coming up in a few weeks & act up. 😂
At any rate, I’ve been on a mission to change that.
A few months ago, I was sharing my own birthday plans with Chris. I told him I wanted something small, with no more that 40-50 people. He replied “that is not small”. Knowing how many people had rsvpd to his party, I told him “well some people have nearly 100 people at their birthday celebration” and he quickly responds “why would they do that?” I laughed very hard and simply stated “because some people have 100 people who love them”.
So, thank you all again for coming and helping me show to him that it’s not just “some people”, but it he, himself who has nearly 100 people who love and appreciate him. #GetHamlered
