From a scouting perspective, Dion Lewis was a compact, instinctive and highly productive running back at Pittsburgh whose game was built around vision, patience, quickness, balance and the ability to create in tight spaces

At @Pitt_FB, Lewis showed excellent feel for setting up blocks, pressing running lanes and finding cutback opportunities. His low center of gravity, quick feet and change-of-direction ability made him difficult to square up, while his balance allowed him to stay productive through contact

In two seasons at Pittsburgh, Lewis rushed for 2,860 yards and 30 touchdowns while adding 52 receptions for 405 yards and one receiving touchdown. As a freshman in 2009, he rushed for 1,799 yards and 17 touchdowns and was named Big East Offensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year

Pre Draft Measurements and Times:

Height: 5’6 5/8”
Weight: 193 pounds
Arm: 28 1/8”
Hand: 8 3/4”
40-yard dash: 4.49
Vertical: 34.5 inches
Broad: 9’4”
Bench: 17 reps
Short shuttle: 4.18
3-cone: 6.90

Selected by the @Eagles in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, Lewis developed into a versatile NFL back whose vision, short-area quickness, balance and receiving ability translated well to the professional game

His best season came with the @Patriots in 2017, when he rushed for 896 yards at 5.0 yards per carry with six touchdowns while adding 32 receptions and three receiving scores

Lewis finished his NFL career with 2,425 rushing yards, 1,408 receiving yards and 22 total touchdowns, proving his vision, quickness, balance and versatility could overcome questions about his size
