Cohort 1 Recap — The Beginning of a Movement

From workshops with industry pros, to mentoring, live sets at HMV, studio sessions and more — the first Road2Release journey has been about growth, strategy and creative energy.

This isn’t the end of a programme — it’s the start of a community. 🚀
Artists from Cohort 1 are now part of the movement: building culture, creating real world opportunities, sharing knowledge and working together to develop practical platforms and career path ways. This is peer education in action — not theory, but tangible steps into the industry.

Big love to everyone who shared their knowledge, and massive respect to the artists who put in the work and became part of Road2Release 🛠️

The journey continues….

⚙️ Applications for Cohort 2 are now open — link in bio. Deadline Sep 15th.

Special thanks to Wolverhampton Art Gallery for their support and belief in the vision 🫡

Over the past few months, we’ve worked with emerging local artists to create, develop and release their music. Last Friday, we celebrated that journey with a launch party at Wolverhampton Art Gallery’s LATE event — In a space not typically home to grime, rap and live performance, the energy was undeniable.

It was incredible to see such a wide community come together in the gallery, sparking conversations, creativity and new ideas.

Cohort 2 is now open for applications — if you’re an emerging artist who wants to get involved, check out the call-out link in bio
