I met a friend, @_dave_concepts , at a conference recently, and something @kennynwokoye once said came flooding back to me:

“You are who you need to be based on the definition of the room, not just the skills you have.”

That quote made a lot more sense today.

I practice social media marketing, but somehow, I found myself playing the role of a model director.

Who would have thought that skill was hiding in me?

A friend who practice photography invited me to tag along for a photoshoot. Honestly, I had every reason to say no, I had a tight schedule, it was raining, and staying home would have been the easier choice.

But showing up changed everything.

I didn’t just go there to be present; I looked for ways to add value. And that’s the thing about opportunities, they often reveal themselves when you’re willing to contribute beyond the role you think you have.

Sometimes, the room demands more than your job title. It calls for your perspective, your creativity, your leadership, or simply your willingness to help.

As @ugochukwuomeogu my mentor, father figure, and teacher would always say, “Be visible by value not by hype”

A huge thank you to @da_imagery_ for capturing these amazing shots. Looking at them, I’m starting to think I might actually have a future as a model. 😂
