This appreciation post is long overdue 🤍

Everything that I have achieved in the last 7-or-so years - from my immigration to the beautiful country of Australia, to the completion of my PhD studies, and even my entry into @yourshotau and all of the amazing things that followed it - is attributable to the support, guidance and love of one unimaginably special person 🪽

Daria, words cannot describe how much you mean to me, the extent to which you have affected my life for the better, or how grateful I am to spend every day waking up beside you. 🌅

Happy Valentines Day, and thank you for everything ✨

I love you ❤️

This was the defining moment of my entire @yourshotau experience; playing an original mashup - Set Fire To The Rain (@adele) x Affliction (@talla2xlc_official) - and having it connect with the room in exactly the way that I had dreamt it would.

It’s one thing seeing the crowd engage as you curate other artist’s music, but to watch people enjoy something that you have channeled your own creative soul into is another emotion entirely.

Huge thanks to @mari.anna_dj and @oscarwheeler_ for these wicked clips, and again to the visual technicians for making it look as though I can control stage lights with only an arm wave⚡️

These upcoming posts are a little late to the party (holidays will do that), but I wanted to share them anyway in respect to what was an amazing @yourshotau experience.

This first is my runner-up definitive moment of the entire competition; being able to play what is arguably the one song that defined my entire musical trajectory, and being able to share that moment, emotion and energy with such a large group of unbelievably supportive and newfound friends. They say there are moments that define you as a person and as an artist; this is one of them 🙏🏻.

Huge thanks to @chloejyoung and @19inpoland_dj for capturing this moment, as well as to the sound and lighting guys at the event whose experience did absolute bits for my set (see upcoming posts).
