🔥 Cover of the Week

DÅÅTH – Where the Slime Live (Morbid Angel cover) 🤘

"Long gone are the filthy liars
Long gone are their filthy lies
I know they'll come again some day
Where the Slime Live
And how the Slime gets washed away" 🤘

One of my favorite Morbid Angel songs, reimagined in an absolutely crushing way.

What makes this cover stand out to me is its sheer heaviness. Where the Slime Live already has one of those slow, groovy riffs that feels absolutely massive in the original, but Dååth somehow makes it sound even more oppressive.

The huge production, incredibly heavy guitar tone and slower, crushing feel give the song a different kind of brutality.. It sounds massive, dark and relentless.

I still prefer the original, but this cover has such a unique weight and atmosphere that it almost feels like hearing the song from a completely different perspective.

If you love heavy, groovy death metal, you definitely need to hear this one.

Thank you DÅÅTH for this criminally underrated cover.

Do you prefer picking every single note or combining with legato?

Daath - No Rest No End
This one really pushed my limits.
Love the way the drums move between the stop-and-go doublebass part and the blastbeat at the end.
Also just realized while editing that I look way angrier than I felt while playing. 😅 Hope you enjoy it anyways. 🖤
