The entire shoot and styling was my mother’s idea. I’ve always been deeply aware of how creative she is! The Aso-oke fits are inspired by all the years she has spent living in Lagos and raising her family and business here.

My mama is the first dreamer and doer I ever encountered. She taught us how to dream actively, to weave ideas and thoughts into hope for any future we desired. Yesterday we celebrated her 60th, and I’m endlessly grateful for the 30 years I’ve had the privilege of witnessing her brilliance. A champion woman overflowing with love, fun, and wit.

There is so much to be grateful for and look forward to this year. Above all, family.
