I woke up this morning GRATEFUL as I reflect on the 2026 track & field season.

Having the opportunity to work with incredible student athletes at Dacula HS and Morgan County HS over the past 12 years has truly been a BLESSING. During a season of life where my family experienced the loss of both of our wonderful parents, these kids, these coaches, and this sport became a major source of joy and peace. I thank GOD for placing me in a position to do what I love alongside great kids that I love.

I couldn’t have asked for a stronger finish to this season than watching Divine and Dallas trust the process, pour their hearts into the work, and give everything they had and fight to achieve the results they earned this year. Divine, a 2 event state finalist and Dallas, a 2 event state champion. Just WOW!!!!

Divine made incredible strides from 2025, improving by over 3 seconds to run 38.97 in the 300m hurdles and dropping over a second in the 110m hurdles to 14.73, both DHS school records.

Dallas also made major improvements, running 42.49 in the 300m hurdles and 13.53 in the 110m hurdles, both official school records, along with a career PR of 13.48.

It has been an absolute honor and privilege to serve as their coach and watch them grow, not only as student athletes and hurdlers, but as a young man and young woman.

I wish them both nothing but the BEST, because I know God has even more in store for them. 🙏🏾

I’m so very proud of these two hurdlers that I have been blessed to serve as their hurdle coach during their high school career. It’s truly been a Blessing. Although Divine didn’t get a medal at the GHSA 6A State Meet today, he fought hard. Even in the midst of the hurt, he gave thanks for even being there to compete. That says a lot about him and his growth. However… he was able to set another school record. There’s still more to come.

These fantastic Dacula High School Hurdlers put on a show this weekend in them Sectionals streets!!! Both hurdlers qualified for the GHSA 6A State Championship Meet today in both the 100/110 hurdles and the 300 hurdles. They also rewrote the DHS record books in the 300 hurdles along the way. Way to go Dallas and Divine!!
A huge SHOUT out to all DHS athletes that competed today including Zelis in the discus and our very own Austin who also qualified for the GHSA 6A state meet while breaking records in the 1600m. GO DHS Falcons!!
