A sexy and sensationally crisp Movado Triple Calendar in 18k rose gold, featuring a rather suggestive dial… 👀

This one hails from the 40’s and has the beloved Breguet numeral dial, along with super rare day & date discs in Portuguese 🇵🇹

Taking a well educated guess, going off the patina, I reckon this watch was originally delivered to the Brazilian market back in the day deep in the tropics 🏝️🇧🇷

Super crisp? Check. Breguet numerals? Check. 18k? Check. Sexy? Check. Boom 💥

Maybe a watch to wear on your next date? Just sayin… 🫦

Available Now - a really really special and rare piece which I’ve treasured in my personal collection for a little while now, though feel ready to offer offer to you - one of those find me another one pieces… 🙈

A beautiful Longines 6615 with a highly interesting case construction, measuring 34mm in a warm shade of 14k rose gold - Originally made for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and delivered to the their Saudi agent, Red Sea Trading back in 1957. The dial features the House of Saud crest, along with an arabic inscription reading “Saud” 🇸🇦🐪

It’s pretty darn rare to come across one of these in the first place (so far I’ve only found one other online which was previously sold) Moreover, for it to come accompanied by a full collectors set which includes: it’s original Saudi crest adorned box, buckle, both swing tags and two straps, along with it’s recent extract from archive!

Now I know this phrase gets overused, but this really one you don’t see everyday… especially found in this condition and fullness!

A very hard one for me to part with, though I do sincerely hope it goes to a new owner who will enjoy and appreciate it as much as I have ☺️

For the Breguet Numeral lovers out there… Can’t afford a steel Patek 96? Yeah well neither can I 😂

Here I propose to you (in my eyes) an equally great alternative from one of my favourite brands in recent times - two beautiful and very rare Movado Calatrava’s in steel, both with Breguet numerals from the late 30’s-40’s

Proportioned a little bigger than a Patek 96 at around 32.5/33mm sans crown, these wear lovely on the wrist. Moreover, there is just something amazing about the combo of blued steel hands and Breguet numerals - oof😮‍💨

Interestingly enough, Movado used the same case makers as Patek Philippe during this time, Francois Borgel and Favre Perret (these two examples being FP) which is totally nuts considering the different value between the two! 🤯

These are NOT EASY watches to find by any means. The gentleman who I purchased the blue strap example from had not seen another like it for sale in 4 years… Henceforth, the one on the right remains in my personal horological shrine for the time being till someone makes me an offer I can’t refuse lol - it’s one of my favourite daily wearers 🤗

Recently Sold - An eye catching Omega Seamaster Automatic from 1963 - featuring a SUPER RARE Factory Diamond Dial with a sun-ray type reflective finish. It comes enclosed in an elegant 35.5mm 18k yellow gold case, that in turn has oxidised into this wonderful rosey shade 💎🌹🏆

Pictured here on both black ostrich and blue lizard leather straps with omega buckle, the latter being the one which it currently resides on 💙🦎

Sold - Ghost dial round 2 at Firebird 🐦‍🔥🌒

As you may have noticed by now, I do love me a good vintage santos any day of the week! 🤠

So today I propose to you a super fresh and mint condition Cartier Santos Galbée ref. 1566 from the early 90’s. This example featuring the beloved and desirable ghost dial - albeit, coming with greater legibility (having actual numerals) then the last one we had from the previous generation of santos! 😂

Anyway, for my folks who appreciate the deets - case measures the classic and contemporarily wearable 29x41mm, runs a quartz movement (as they all did bar the XL and SIHH edition) and is accompanied by 3 extra links 🔗 along with Cartier Box and booklet 📕🎁

Perhaps the most controversial watch I have had to offer you yet… 🇮🇶

A full set Piaget, commissioned by former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein - adorned with the emblem of his regime, the Eagle of Saladin along with his namesake, “Saddam” inscribed in Arabic upon the dial 🦅

Many may be familiar with the custom that Middle Eastern governments and heads of state had back in the 20th century of specially commissioning Swiss watches with their national emblems on the dial to be given as gifts to those in service of their governments, or regimes in this case, often high ranking officials along with foreign dignitaries 👑

This here, is one such example and moreover, is accompanied by its original box and outer box, with the Eagle or Saladin imprinted on them (to note: these watches being gifts, were never delivered with papers) 📦📄

Now, when it comes to Saddam commissioned dials, it’s far more common to see them on various Patek Philippe Ellipse models made in the 70/80’s - However, with Piaget I have only encountered 6 examples in total including this one thus far, making it extremely rare ✨

What’s also interesting is that watch itself was originally made for ladies - it does make me wonder whom this originally was gifted to? I’ll let your imagination get creative on that one 😉

Specs wise - the reference is 44101 and it runs a Piaget Calibre 4P, which has benefited from a recent full service. The case size is 22x27mm, being petite yet still wearable for gentlemen who enjoys the smaller size watches in vogue currently, due to the stepped case design 🪜
