knit in summer, wear in autumn

bought a ball of Sunday from the Copenhagen trip. the lightness is perfect for a transitional (or tran-seasonal?) scarf.

worked with some other merino yarn before and didn’t always like how they turn out, or how it feels when holding the yarn. but Sunday changed that experience and i can now see why this is such a beloved yarn.

yarn: #sundayyarn from @sandnesgarn
needle: circular needle 3mm
pattern: #rosepetalbandana #simplypipoca

Rose Petal Bandana by Dagmar Tamura knitted in Mersilk from Three Trees Fibercrafts.
Knitted extra repeats so have a large shawl as a result - big fan! #knitting #rosepetalbandana #lacework

WIP Wednesday: #RosePetalBandana made with an 8/4 cotton yarn. Is this yarn delicate enough to show off the full beauty of this pattern? Perhaps debatable, however 100% cotton will be great during summer as sun protection for the beach

How do we feel about this 🍋💚 colour?

Thank you @dagmartamura for this wonderful pattern 🙏

Another little head accessory, the #rosepetalbandana by @dagmartamura ! My original plan was to make this into a shawl using the whole 100g I got from @swansonsfabrics, but I got bored and cast it off early. So now I have a fair amount of this unknown light fingering super wash merino leftover for something else!

💜
A crew neck version of the Cumulus Tee is out now: the Cumulus Tee O-Neck. Dagmar made hers using Alva Silk in the color Lilac and we are totally in love with the stitch definition, the color, the new neckline, the fit - ah, downright everything! Didn't it turn out beautifully?!
💜
Design: Kumulus Tee O-neck by @petiteknit (sizes XS - 5XL on Ravelry)

It’s been now almost three weeks away from my beloved city of Lisbon, to work intensely on my singing with Ricardo Tamura in Nuremberg. It could not have been more worth. I am now back home, feeling absolutely filled with more joy for singing and even more excitement for music making! Concluding this intense journey there was the course at Opernakademie Schloss Henfenfeld, with Denette Whitter, a source of infinite strenght and knowledge, and as well with Ricardo. We brought to the dear audience of Henfenfeld our songs and arias, in a wonderful and intense concert, in which I gave my first performance of Der Hölle Rache - Königin der Nacht, a role I have been working on slowly (and patiently) and conquering in the last years. 🫶🏼 I must thank to all the dear people that hosted me (and to those who helped finding a place to stay): @andrea.conangla @joselegarra_ @laurabraun.sopran @ines.simoes.soprano @mezzo.assoluta @qd_the_pie @pedrmc89 🌺 I could not be more fortunate 🌞 also was amazing to visit @sophiabosbach my dear fairy 🧚‍♀️ in Vienna 🏰. And to save the most important (and cheesy!!!) for the end: Ricardo is more than a great singer and great teacher, he is a great pedagode, mentor, with a huge huge heart, he is like family! Thank you @ricardotamura and @dagmartamura for being the way you are! 😍😍😍😍😍
