At the beginning of the month, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the most nourishing, informative and much needed day retreat at @theyogasanctuary , beautifully hosted by @justinebarnesyoga , @daileywellness and @vda.nutrition. 🤍

The theme of this beautiful day was the nervous system — something I feel we could all benefit from understanding a little more in today’s fast-paced world.

With the constant demands of modern life, I think we’re all searching for ways to reset, restore, recover and reconnect with a little more peace and calm.

Throughout the day, these three incredible women shared their knowledge, wisdom and practical tools around burnout — why we get there, the things we may unknowingly be doing that keep our nervous systems in a state of stress, and the simple yet powerful practices we can bring into our everyday lives to support ourselves.

✨ Justine shared the most incredible breathwork techniques, guided us through a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra and created the gentlest, safest and most healing space for us all to simply pause and be.

✨ Janet, an incredible reflexology practitioner, guided us through beautiful movement and showed us simple ways we can incorporate reflexology into our own self-care.

✨ Vanessa, with her wealth of knowledge around nutrition, women’s health and supplements, shared such valuable insights into how we can become more mindful in our everyday lives and how nutrition and supplementation can support our bodies and overall wellbeing.

Three women, three different areas of expertise, and one beautiful shared message: we need to slow down, listen to our bodies and make space for ourselves. 🤍

Being surrounded by women who are so passionate and knowledgeable about their craft was inspiring in itself.

Thank you for creating such a magical, nurturing and deeply restorative day — and of course, for the yummiest midday lunch! 🥰

If you get the opportunity to join their next workshop or retreat, I couldn’t recommend it more. Your nervous system will thank you. ✨🌿

- You Are a Woman -

You are a woman.

Life is too short to be frowned upon, even momentarily, by that person who never understood your worth.

You are a woman,
bright, warm and free,
to be whoever you choose to be.

You are a woman, with a life expectancy of seventy six years, and yet you choose to spend precious seconds crying over a message, a look, an opinion that did not reflect yours, even at eight years old.

You are a woman,
and that little girl inside you
deserves to be protected.

I know you are drained.

I know your cup continues to dissipate the more you pour into the ones that have holes.

But you are a woman who can love herself again.

A woman who can reconnect with who she used to be.

Yes, you are stronger now than you used to be, but the world should never have made you feel that armour was the only way towards the golden gates of happiness.

Happiness should not be let out only on command, nor exist under the terms of negotiation.

It should exist freely.

In vulnerability.
In sensitivity.
In softness.

Without the expectation of what you can give in return.

You are not weak for leaving things that no longer serve you in order to make space for your smile to shine loudly again.

When you were eight,
you ran freely into waves
that splashed against your ankles
as your feet dug deeply into the wet sand.

When you were eight,
you swung so high on swings
that could hold you,
held by people you trusted.

You never wondered how high you were allowed to go.

You just swung.

Is it not time you start swinging your own swing?

Living on your own timeline?

Deciding that you are the one who gets to choose how high you go, without the bricks that have spent so long weighing you down?

You are the one to be trusted now.

With the swing.
With the height.
With your softness.
With your life.

You owe that to that little girl inside.

To be free.

The women of Shiprazor spent a day away from the desk.

Yoga, breathwork, journaling and a few hours of quiet. No inboxes. No dashboards. Nothing needing an answer in the next ten minutes.

There’s a version of this business that only ever shows up in numbers. Orders routed, deliveries tracked, problems solved before a merchant hears about them. Behind that sits a group of women who hold the standard every day and rarely stop long enough for anyone to say so out loud.

What came out of the day wasn’t a strategy or a set of takeaways - it was the reminder that the people carrying a company forward are worth investing in as people first.

To the women of Shiprazor, thank you.
Happy Women’s Month.

HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY 🌻

Celebrating the woman who no longer seeks permission to be who she is becoming. She leads from intuition, lives from truth, and trusts that her life is meant to expand, not shrink with age.

Have a beautiful, nourished, celebrated and connected day. ✨
