PLURRRRP

Say hello to SHANE’S JERSEY COW DOUBLE CREAM ⚡️⚡️⚡️

“PLURRRRP” is the sound this stunning cream makes as I shook it off the spoon - this cream does not pour, it’s thick and rich, weighing in at 46% butterfat - it’s so bloody good you could whip it with a spoon.

@shane_hickeysdairy grew up on a northern rivers dairy farm & made it his mission to produce the cream he got as a kid - it’s almost impossible to find local cream these days and Shane’s 10 JERSEY COWS are based just near Casino.

I’m so grateful to Shane for making this happen

Back from Japan and slowly finding our rhythm again.

Here’s what’s happening at Daily Counter this October.

Michi is back from the second week of October, and we’ll be opening every week from then on.

Very much looking forward to seeing you all again!

🍦 BUSH ICECREAMERY @bush_icecreamery

Bush will be open every Friday & Saturday throughout October.

Our final opening days for the year will be 6–7 November, before wrapping things up for the event season.

🍽️ PIP’S PLATE @pipsplate

Pip will be taking a little more time off for now, until things become a little clearer.

Community Bagels 🥯💛

Next up in the Breakfast Series is the incredible @communitybagels - a new’ish pop up business making the most divine wild fermented sourdough bagels and serving them up with an epic array of totally delicious house-made toppings 🙌🥯 Community Bagels are made with a wild sourdough starter, a living culture that is carefully tended to, and the dough is fermented for at least 36 hours before being hand rolled into bagels ✨🥯 Wild fermentation creates an incredible depth of flavour, complexity and texture - Community Bagels are super tasty and just the right amount of chewy! 🙌🥯

They have also just started making incredibly delicious wild fermented cinnamon rolls topped with freshly made browned butter cream cheese 🙌♥️

Community Bagels make their own toppings from scratch, including their divine house made cream cheese, house cured salmon and home made strawberry jam 🍓🐟 They use organic, local and high quality products with a focus on making the healthiest possible food and supporting the community 🍳🍋

Scroll through to see all the different toppings - there are 8 sweet & savoury options 🙌🥯 My favorite is ‘The Classic’, topped with house made cream cheese, home made cured salmon, tomato, red onion, capers, dill, a drizzle of organic olive oil, a squeeze of fresh lemon, and sprinkled with high quality sea salt & a crack of pepper 🐟🍋 Closely followed by ‘Bee Bread’, topped with house made cream cheese and @worldofeucy bee bread — raw honey & fermented pollen, infused with organic cinnamon that tastes like caramelised honey…so delicious! 🥯🍯 As well as the Cheesy Chilli Eggs - local organic scrambled eggs, aioli, aged cheddar & @tahinagoods zhoug 🍳🌶️
