Quite frankly I’m having a really excellent summer and seriously would not recommend training for an autumn marathon lol BUT I’m lucky to be doing it soooooo here’s the lowdown for last week which was week 3/13 of my plan:
💅🏼 8km easy upon return from Majorca (actually did 6.5 featuring an hour break for my nail appt. Strugglesville
💨 Weds AM intervals with DB
☀️ 6.5km easy pre family weekend in Norfolk
🌊 13km easy with the gang in Norfolk

A few of us were lucky enough for a wee Swiss adventure a couple of weeks ago, to visit our client @lindt. Needless to say, it was a whole choca lota fun!

TCS London Marathon 2026 - no words can describe the experience.

Best way to see the city. The crowd was absolutely amazing cheering all 60,000+ runners through the streets of London.

New personal record set at chip time of 03:46:53 and we hit the fundraising target for @basicsessex , an amazing organisation that runs 100% on charitable donations.

A special thanks to everyone supporting me through my training and fundraising efforts, it wouldn’t be possible without you. Also, a special thanks to the T’s for hosting over the marathon weekend. Truly exceptional! 🙏🏼

Starting December with a bang! Lots of exciting excursions for some of the team, including a snazzy client photoshoot here in Edinburgh, and some very important business attended to in Paris and Switzerland 👀🍺🍫

The design team put on their game faces for a bit of friendly (terrifyingly competitive) team building 🏎️🏁

And wee Moomin was crowned the first ever canine pool shark of the Edinburgh office 🎱

SO! You remember when I said how sweet and kind it would be if you very generously,unselfishly and supportively sponsored John and Daisy for The London Marathon.
Well what I actually meant was BLOODY SEND THEM SOME MONEY!!! They are running 26 miles, YES 26 miles while you lot have a lie in with the Sunday papers then swan out for lunch!!!
SO…. Enough Mrs Nice Guy….SHOW ME THE MONEY or Daisy will look like this ⬇️

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 40 something, which is exactly like 22, but better. Better because of experience, confidence, stamina and having four children (which comes with a high tolerance for annoyance and discomfort, which is very useful). But stamina - stamina and mothers go hand in hand. We are always running - usually holding a baby, definitely more than one bag, a school project, a screaming toddler, a bag of sick even, or pushing a stroller, or all of the above. Back and forth, everyday and in London mostly on foot. It all feels like a sort of drag suit (you know, for swim training) so when it all comes off, and you are finally unencumbered and it’s just you, in a kit, on the pitch, sprinting, shooting, fighting for the ball, with only your own body to worry about, it feels light and easy. There is a levity to it that you can only know after you have worn the drag suit 😅. That’s what I’m feeling now, so I’m just going to lean into it. My coach asked me why I had so much energy. I said was tired for 16 years and now I’m tired of being tired 😂.
