Village is proud to publish a new body of work with @daisiejacobs - launching next Friday 16th Feb, 6-9pm, alongside a coinciding exhibition and opening reception.

A COCKROACH BETWEEN HER TEETH is a selection from a series of ongoing works by Daisie Jacobs. Through the ritual practice of self-portraiture; camera-less photography; and by seeking an abject femininity in nature, Jacobs documents the tangible self in an attempt to combat feelings of formlessness and the disorientation that can come with the dissolution of that self.

Today (and much of last night) has seen us chasing rain dripping through the on-going roof repairs - and oh boy has it rained 🤣

So on a much brighter note... our recent trip off the island gave us the opportunity to finally collect this wonderful mixed media painting by a past client of Tony's who became a friend.

Ever since helping @stevethompsonartist out with photography of his beautiful paintings, we hoped that one day we'd be able to hang one of them in our home.

When we saw 'Granite Path' we knew it was the right piece for us, with it reminding us of our time living close to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, while at the same time representing so much of what we love about our new home, Skye.

So here it is, now hanging next to @daisiejacobs' original cyanotype print 🩵 I'm really hoping I haven't screwed into any plumbing while hanging it, it's wet enough in the rest of the cottage already 😆

Thanks so much Steve, we absolutely love it!
