ADOPTION—The beautiful redemption story already in motion since the world began.

Adoption is the definition of what true love really is.

When you adopt, you CHOOSE to love even if you do not immediately feel it.

It is an act of the will driven by a compulsion of the Holy Spirit.

It is a “knowing” based on a supernatural partnership with the Good Shepherd and the Father of all Fathers.

Adoption is not a fertility method; adoption is a calling.

It is the most unnatural and unselfish choice any one could ever make.

And we were honored to celebrate our friends as they just recently made this choice with their son, Anthony. 😭🙌🏽🎉

In the first picture is when their adoption journey began. Daisy and I were “merely” step mamas at this point, although we will both tell you that there is actually no such thing as “step” (which is a book and a teaching for another day 🤣).

The next picture is present-day reality with both of us having adopted our sons with more adoptions and children to come!

Adoption is a beautiful thing.

And the unending story of redemption is its everlasting reward.

Many congratulations to the Burgan Family! 💛🖤

We officially hit the road August 7th! Aaahhhhhh!!! Follow our journey on YouTube ▶️.

#fbf to four days ago when we set out on a new journey. kcmo will always have a special place in our hearts as we have experienced so much joy, loss, pain, happiness, adventure, learning in every season there: the awakening 09, ihop staff 10-14, meeting my husband 12, marrying my husband 13, the passing of my sweet Pamela Stead 13, the harassment at work for choosing my values over system policy 13-14, Royals go to world series 14, getting pregnant with my sweet Evelyn Grace 14, premature labor/bedrest/c-section/NICU 14-15, being a stay at home mom 15, vastly growing in knowledge in health & nutrition with the help of @realfoodwithkids @netaniakatherine @flashl1ghtman @spiritofhealthkc 15, and now move our precious little family 6200 feet above sea level to the mountains to live an incredibly beautiful & abundant life. #blessed #deloyfamily #deloyfamilyadventures #thesprings #evelyndeloy #sweetevelyngrace #wewillmisskc #butwewilllovethesprings and thank you to everyone along the journey who's helped us and loved us!

"Happy birthday-versary to you. Happy birthday-versary to you." Ryan and I woke up to this being sung outside our tent, followed by plates of food being handed to us. :) Yeah camping! We are loved!
