🌼2026 Daisy Chain Retreat🌼

My favourite annual retreat @Pokolbin is now over and what a beautiful weekend it was. Made even better as I get to spend the weekend beside my mum.🥰

Theresa @daisychainstitchery and her family put on the most enjoyable retreat filled with fun and friendship.😍

Catching up with old friends and making new ones is always a delight. We are all already looking forward to seeing what is in store for us next year.

I bought this beautiful Shaker box from @timbos_shop a few months ago and waited until I found the perfect design to stitch for it. I finally came across these gorgeous roses by Véronique Enginger and stitched her design on 32ct Beaver Grey linen from @daisychainstitchery - I couldn’t be happier with how it all came together.

A finish on my @pennylinndesigns hydrangea bag tag. This will forever remind me of my trip to New England in 2024, a place forever in my heart.

Thought I’d share some of what I’ve been stitching lately. The details are on the pics, but a couple of additional points:
- my first Nashville market release stitch - Coneflower Chorus. I’m loving this stitch! But I wasn’t keen on the light blue fabric, so substituted with a darker blue - Rivergum @foxandrabbitdesigns by Fox and Rabbit - looks so nice!
- the Saltboxes by Plum Street - this was my birthday start last year and im progressing through Spring with the aim of putting all the Saltboxes together on the same piece of fabric.
- Making slow progress on Sheep. Loving that border!!

And a shout out to @daisychainstitchery Am loving their fabric - Whoopsie Daisy 🌼 ❤️

The latest release from the files of @needleworkpress was an instant love at first. So much so, one of fav stitchy humans Katherine @kath.wong78 demanded we kit it up pronto for an immediate start.

Who needs to wait until the month of January aka Blessing Sampler month? Rules are meant to be broken when you are in love!💗

Me? I’m stitching this on 36 count Parchment linen @daisychainstitchery 2 over 2 with all the called for threads.

Katherine is stitching hers on a mystery 40 count linen 1 over 2 with all the called for threads. All kitted up @crewelgobelin.

Two more Mojo Stitches finishes both using the Cottage Garden Threads Bookshelf range. The drum is the retreat piece from the Daisychain Stitchery retreat at Pokolbin (NSW Australia) last week on Whoopsie Daisy 32 count linen. 🍃It’s a stitchy retreat getaway🍃

My favourite annual retreat held by @daisychainstitchery located in the beautiful Hunter Valley is finally over.

I don’t go on many retreats due to my work and family commitments but this one is a must on the calendar. My family live not far from the retreat so I can get to see them and spend the weekend with my mum stitching…although my mum has made friends with my friends and sits with them at their table not mine…hahaha😍

It’s never how many stitches you put in, it’s meeting new friends and old…and yes I worked the room🤣 Putting faces to insta names is always a treat…especially when you already follow each other.🥰

I have a finish!!! I started this one with Thea @inthehouseofaquarius to celebrate friendship and also because we attended the workshop given by Beth Twist @heartstring_samplery last July @de_handwerk_boetiek in Roden, the Netherlands.
We were later joined by @stitchesinthewoods (check her FFO'd version, it is gorgeous), @suus_xstitcher and @eldi_stitches. I am the last one to finish it; it realy was fun to work on this one together.

32 count Mintgreen linen by @daisychainstitchery (the color doesn't show up on the picture, it is so beautiful in real life), using the called for DMC but i did change the placement of the colors here and there.
