Congratulations to Daisy Kong @daisykong__ (BFA 2021 Illustration), who won SVA and JOAH Beauty's design competition last month! SVA and JOAH Beauty—a skin-centric, 100% cruelty-free Korean American beauty brand—announced a design competition, organized in collaboration with artist and faculty member Hyesu Lee (MFA 2011 Illustration as Visual Essay), to create an image that honors diversity and inclusivity for a limited-edition beauty bag. The new bag featuring Kong’s winning piece will complement a signature limited-edition JOAH tote that Lee designed in honor of AAPI Heritage Month in May. Shout out to the four other finalists: Christina Lettich (BFA 2020 Cartooning), Isabel Ricaurt (BFA 2020 Illustration), Junyi Ouyang (BFA 2023 Illustration) and Oliver Perry (BFA 2023 Illustration). See everyone’s designs and read more about the competition at the link in bio! @svanyc @joahbeauty @heyhyesu
