The Bring Me show was an adventure. It started out as a dare with my most special lady and ended up with some solid hangs with a lot of really amazing friends.

I go to many shows, but my number 1 concert buddy rarely joins me. She’s normally hanging back with the kids or working her butt off behind the scenes to help keep this dream of mine alive. Life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, we’ve had our fair share of rough patches but we try to sort it out together without blame.

I didn’t do the best job getting pics with all my friends, the whole idea that sparked these posts, but I made a promise to myself to do better. If you see me at a show and want to make one of these recaps let me know and we’ll get a pic together. The point of this is to catalog incredible memories. Life is short and I want a reminder each year of something so special.

I didn’t get a pic with @devinchvnce unfortunately but the first night wasn’t possible without him. Talk about someone who’s been in my corner since the moment we met. He has supported me and pushed me in every aspect of my journey. He’s there when I have random questions and takes time out of his day to make sure I’m loved and taken care of. I appreciate you brother!!!

Convictions was another adventure. Met up with an old friend and had a blast. The show was incredible!!! I was blown away by how good they sounded live and will make it a point to see them again!

Seeing Afterlife made the night so much better for me. I’ve been grateful to get to know @tyler_levenson over the past few years and being able to surprise him made my day. Few things lift your spirit like the look on someone’s face after a good surprise.

Both shows ended with cookies and I’m thinking that is my new post show Taco Bell. Few things top getting post show food with friends, especially cookies the size of my face.

Thanks for reading! I love you all!

I am a little... A lot emotional about this. My son's first music video since his stroke; he is still struggling to play the guitar. But with a lot of hard work, he has his singing voice back. Enjoy.

We wrote the first demo for “So Long to Yesterday” almost two years ago, only a few months after Dakota’s stroke. At the time, we didn’t know if he would ever return to Hollow Front or if we were even going to be a band for much longer. We just wanted to have fun and make music with our friend again.

A year after we wrote that demo, Dakota officially rejoined Hollow Front and we finished it. Hearing his voice back in the band and watching him continue to recover made the song feel even more special. It felt triumphant.

So when it came time to choose the track we wanted to lead with, starting here felt right. This isn’t the heaviest song we have coming, but it shines a spotlight on Dakota’s voice, his recovery, and everything his return means to us.

This song captures the beginning of that journey, before any of us knew where it was going. Now we finally get to release it with Dakota officially back in the band.

We couldn’t think of a better way to welcome him home than by letting his voice and his story take center stage.

“So Long to Yesterday” is yours at midnight.
