Healthy people need a healthy planet 🌍 On October 6, 2026, health professionals across Canada are coming together for the second annual National Day of Action for Planetary Health. Last year, thousands joined community actions to highlight the deep connection between environmental health and human health. This year, we're raising our voices again to advocate for a healthier, safer, and more sustainable future. The health of our communities depend on the health of the environments we live in. And while the challenges are significant, a healither planet can also mean a healthier economy, stronger communities, and better health for generations to come. #nationaldayofaction #planetaryhealth #climatehealth #environmentalhealth

📚 Karen Mann Lectureship in Medical Education & MERIS Join us as we join together to celebrate innovation, scholarship, and leadership in medical education! 🩺 The Karen Mannn Lectureship in Medical Education honours the memory of Dr. Karen Mann, who demonstrated the role Medical education plays in advancing leadership in medicine. Each year, we remember her legacy through a prominent lecture focused on Medical education. Alongside the lecture, MERIS (Medical Education Research and Innovation Showcase) brings together faculty, preceptors, residents, students, and members of the broader health professions community to share research, innovation, and scholarly work in teaching and learning. From curriculum and evaluation to teaching, learning, and faculty development, MERIS provides an opportunity to share ideas, connect with colleagues, and celebrate the work that shapes the future of Medical education! 💡 We look forward to bringing our community together to learn, connect, and celebrate Medical education! 💙

🧡 September 30 - National Day for Truth and Reconcilliation & Orange Shirt Day Today, we honour residential school Survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and recognize the lasting impacts of the residential school system on Indigenous People's, families, and communities. Orange Shirt Day reminds us that every child matters and encourages us to listen, learn, and remember the experiences of residential school Survivors. Today and every day we can take steps towards reconciliation by continuing to listen, learn, remember, and support Indigenous communities. 🧡 E'tasiw Mijua'jij Mekite'tasit
