As some of you know, I go to Vox Church Hartford and the church leases Infinity Hall,a music venue that can hold maybe 500 people. March 29, my 57th birthday was my fifth anniversary there. So over the years besides meeting my fellow parishioners, I've met the staff. Turns out the head of security, Johnny lives in Canton. So did I for a year, as well as 16 years in Avon, and my parents will be in their house 47 years this November. So we started playing the name game and bars we've been to. Tickets,10 East Main, Maple Tree, Cracker Barrel, Hoops and Hops, Crown and Hammer and so forth. So last weekend, I wasn't doing anything except thinking of eating at Front Street. Johnny says" you going to Steely Dead (a Grateful Dead/Steely Dan Show) I said no. He said you want to. I said sure and walked to the front row. Met people who were from out of town local etc. He said come to ANY show. The shows that appeal to me are:Early Elton John Trio 5/31 Foreigners Journey 6/1 The Moody Blues John Lodge. The complete schedule for both Hartford and Norfolk location is on Infinity Hall.com Assuming I am in town and don't have prior plans I'll go and when my Simsbury friends like @davidbouquillon @dalaifarma and others I will toss the idea and see if it sticks. You see there is a 2 day festival on Bushnell Park thecapitolgroove.com plus the Hartford Jazz Festival July 19-21 or around there plus Friday night salsa, Monday night Jazz and other stuff in West Hartford and New Britain that interest me . Maybe I'll see you. If so, say hello have a beverage and dance like nobody's is watching
Can't forget Juneteenth is around the bend as well as the Puerto Rican day festival in Hartford. Always spirited . I have a blast ESPECIALLY since I'm bilingual. Vaya con Dios amigos!
