Throwing it back to this Darth Maul piece from a while back! 🔴🖤

Always love taking on heavy contrast portrait work, especially when it involves iconic Star Wars villains. The bold reds and deep blacks on this one were absolute fun to sink into.

Was asked about star wars tattoos id done and found some old photos

"Heaven knows I’m miserable now..." — or at least Morrissey was until the Dark Side took over! 🔴⬛️
Throwing it back to one of my coverups from a while back. Swapped out the Smiths lead singer for the ultimate Sith Apprentice, Darth Maul.

Deep reds, heavy contrast blacks, and solid saturation did all the heavy lifting to obliterate what was underneath. No laser required, just pure Dark Side energy.

What pop culture character would you transform your old ink into? Hit me up in the DMs or drop a comment below! 👇

Old one

Out with the old, in with the Dark Side. ⚔️✨
Massive cover-up session turning old ink into a detailed Darth Vader piece. Loving how the blue and red highlights pop against the rich black shading!

Covering up black ink requires the right contrast, color choices, and composition. For this project, we brought Darth Vader to life with a dual lighting effect to seamlessly mask the old script and clouds underneath.
